According to initial information, at noon on June 3, LTĐ. and 3 friends invited each other to go swimming at the pond in Long Son neighborhood, Mui Ne ward, Phan Thiet city.
Here, while swimming, D. drowned, sank into the pond and went missing.
Hearing the cry for help, local people used SUP boards to paddle to the area where the male student had an accident to search. Later, the victim's body was found and brought to shore.
It is known that the pond above is a deep hole formed from previous mineral exploitation activities. Heavy rain in recent days has caused the water level in the pond to rise.
