Today, June 19, the Department of Military Training - Schools, Ministry of National Defense held a press meeting to introduce military recruitment work in 2025.
Military schools implement 3 admission methods: direct admission, priority admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , regulations of the Ministry of National Defense (method 1); admission based on the results of the capacity assessment exam organized by 2 national universities in 2025 (method 2); consideration of high school graduation exam results in 2025 (method 3).
For method 2, the total admission score consists of 3 components: the candidate's competency assessment test score (of one of the 2 national universities), incentive points (if any), regional priority points, and target priority points. The schools agree to use a 30-point scale for admission. In which, the competency assessment test scores of the 2 national universities are converted to a 30-point scale.
So this year, military schools will abandon the method of considering academic records.

The preliminary selection process has been carried out recently. In 2025, the total number of qualified applications for admission to 20 military academies and schools will be over 33,000, an increase of nearly 42% compared to 2024.
Schools with a high number of applications for preliminary selection are the Political Officer School with more than 6,700 applications, the Military Technical Academy with nearly 5,000 applications, the Border Guard Academy with more than 3,500 applications, and the Military Medical Academy with more than 3,200 applications.
As every year, military schools only accept candidates who register for their first choice. Candidates can adjust their registration wishes for admission to the training program in the school group.
University training consists of 2 groups. Group 1 includes the following academies: Logistics, Navy, Border Guard; Air Defense - Air Force (command and staff system) and officer schools: Army 1, Army 2, Politics, Special Forces, Artillery, Armored, Chemical, Information, Engineering.
Group 2 includes the following academies: Military Engineering, Military Medicine, Military Science, Air Defense - Air Force (Aviation Engineering system).
For college training, candidates can adjust their admission wishes between the following schools: Air Force Officer, College of Cryptography Engineering; College of Information Engineering and College of National Defense Industry.
