Colonel Do Thanh Tam - Secretary of the Military Admissions Board, Ministry of National Defense - said that the Ministry of National Defense has assigned the Military Technical Academy to preside over and propose a plan to convert equivalent scores in the 2025 university entrance exam.
Accordingly, schools under the Ministry of National Defense will base on the annual high school graduation exam scores and the score distribution of the two National Universities' competency assessment exams to determine the conversion rules equivalent to the entrance threshold and appropriate admission scores.
This conversion rule will comply with the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training .
Mr. Do Thanh Tam added that it is likely that military schools will also use the percentile method in converting equivalent scores.

In 2025, military schools will use three admission methods: direct admission, priority admission for excellent national and international students; consideration of the results of the competency assessment exam of 2 National Universities; consideration of high school graduation exam results.
Candidates are required to undergo a preliminary selection when registering for military training. In addition, each candidate can only register for 1 wish to 1 military school right from the time of completing the preliminary selection application. For the remaining wishes, candidates register for non-military schools or civilian systems of military schools. Registration is carried out according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .
Colonel Do Thanh Tam added that candidates applying for military schools, whether military or civilian, must register on the Ministry of Education and Training's common admission system. Once the admission results are available, all candidates must confirm their enrollment on this common system, no later than 5 p.m. on August 30.
This rule also applies to candidates admitted directly to military schools.
If candidates skip this step, they will not be eligible for admission and admission.
This year, 20 military schools will enroll approximately 4,400 military university and college students, a decrease of nearly 1,000 students compared to last year. However, some schools will resume enrollment in the civilian system after a 6-year hiatus with approximately 3,500 students.
