The January match, third quarter, of the 23rd year of the Road to Olympia program took place on April 30 with the competition of 4 contestants: Hua Gia Huy (Luong The Vinh High School for the Gifted, Dong Nai), Le Xuan Manh (Ham Rong High School, Thanh Hoa), Nguyen Thi Van Thuy (Foreign Language High School, Hanoi ) and Huynh Tan Nguyen Chuong (Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, Phu Yen).

Entering the first round - Warm-up, Xuan Manh quickly answered the question packages correctly and scored 65 points, temporarily leading the race, Van Thuy 55 points, Gia Huy 40 points and Nguyen Chuong 25 points.

The keyword for this Obstacle Course consists of 3 letters. The first horizontal question has 6 letters: "Truyen Dang Son is the Chinese name of which mountain in Ha Long Bay?". With the correct answer "Poem", Gia Huy is the only contestant to win points on the first question .

Right after the first question, Xuan Manh quickly pressed the bell to answer the keyword. The answer given by Xuan Manh was "Hats". Thanks to his reasoning and logical thinking, Xuan Manh answered correctly and raised his score to 115, far surpassing his fellow players (Gia Huy 50 points, Nguyen Chuong 25 points, Van Thuy 50 points).

Xuan Manh shared that when he gave the answer, he felt "heartbroken" and was only 5% sure of his answer.

In the Acceleration round, 3 contestants Van Thuy, Xuan Manh, Gia Huy answered the questions correctly. Xuan Manh was the only contestant to get a point in the second question and achieved 185 points. In the third question, each contestant gave a different answer and no contestant got a point.

In question number 4, Xuan Manh only took 4.09 seconds and relied on only one piece of data about the year of birth and year of death of writer Ngo Tat To to give the correct answer.

At the end of this dramatic competition, the male student from Thanh Hoa - Xuan Manh won 225 points, continuing to lead the mountain climbing team.

Entering the Finish Line round, Xuan Manh was the first to choose the 20 - 20 - 30 point question package. He answered the second question correctly, but could not give the correct answer to questions 1 and 3. Xuan Manh finished with 245 points.

In Gia Huy's part, in the last question worth 30 points, Xuan Manh answered correctly and increased his score to 275 points. However, the Thanh Hoa male student gave the wrong answer in Nguyen Chuong's part, so he lost 10 points, the total score now only 265 points.

At the end of the Finish Line competition as well as the January and third quarter competitions, Xuan Manh scored 265 points, becoming the first face to participate in the third quarter round of the Road to Olympia 2023.

Manh also proudly shared that he is the first Thanh Hoa male student in 6 years to enter the quarter round of the program.

Next is Van Thuy with 160 points, Gia Huy with 70 points and Nguyen Chuong temporarily at the bottom with 35 points.
