Viet Yen Town: 100-day peak of site clearance of more than 392 hectares of land for project implementation

In 2025, Viet Yen town has identified one of the key tasks as accelerating the progress of site clearance for projects and attracting investment. Accordingly, compensation, support and resettlement are tasks that the Town Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee are interested in directing and organizing implementation.

This year, the town has implemented more than 35 projects, with an area of land clearance commitment signed with the province of more than 425 hectares, with a total of about 4,000 households involved. Among them, there are a number of large, key projects such as: Viet Han Industrial Park expansion, area to be recovered 147.3 hectares; Song Mai - Nghia Trung Industrial Park, area to be recovered 50 hectares; Trung Son - Ninh Son Industrial Cluster, area to be recovered 75 hectares; Tu Lan Urban Area No. 1 and No. 2, total area to be recovered 48.3 hectares.

People of Trung Xuan village, Nghia Trung commune (Viet Yen town) come to the village cultural house to complete procedures to declare the land area and assets on the land subject to recovery to implement the Song Mai - Nghia Trung Industrial Park project.

Focusing on site clearance for projects, on March 1, 2025, the People's Committee of Viet Yen town issued Plan No. 79 on launching the emulation movement "100 peak days of site clearance for key projects and public investment projects in the town" (from March 1 to June 8, 2025).

To implement this plan, up to now, the town's departments and functional units have completed many related tasks, developed compensation plans and made compensation payments for site clearance for more than 392.6/425 hectares, with 3.1 thousand households involved. The remaining area has been counted, assigned to owners and is being paid to households.

This result contributes to the town creating more clean land fund, early handover to investors to speed up the implementation of projects in the area. Thereby, creating a breakthrough in attracting investment, developing local economy and society.

Comrade Le Hoang Bach, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Yen town, said that the above results were achieved because the Party Committee, government, and functional agencies from the town to the grassroots level had taken drastic action and implemented synchronous solutions during the "100 peak days of site clearance for key projects and public investment projects in the town".

The Town People's Committee issued a decision to establish a Steering Committee, an operating mechanism and a list of key projects to assign standing members and members of the People's Committee to be in charge and direct the implementation.

At the same time, issue a plan to implement compensation and site clearance for each specific project; direct the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with the Center for Land Fund Development and Industrial Clusters, consulting units to advise and develop a detailed plan for organizing and implementing this task. In particular, assign tasks to departments, offices, People's Committees of wards and communes, civil servants and related workers.

The implementation process requires units and localities to report weekly and monthly on progress as well as difficulties and problems in compensation, support and resettlement in each specific project to promptly have solutions to remove and resolve, ensuring progress and set goals.
