The power outage was carried out according to the disaster prevention plan to ensure people's safety and protect electrical equipment when the water level rises.

According to the records of PC Hue, the water level on the Bo and O Lau rivers continues to increase, many downstream and low-lying areas are isolated. Wards and communes in the North of Hue City and some areas along the downstream of the two rivers are heavily affected, forcing PC Hue to temporarily cut off power supply to prevent the risk of insecurity, fire, and electrical accidents in flooded areas.

PC Hue has also assigned teams and groups to be on duty 24/7, continuously monitoring the flood situation. As soon as the water recedes and safety conditions are ensured, the electricity industry will conduct inspections and restore power supply to people and essential facilities as soon as possible.

PC Hue recommends that during rainy and flood days, people should not touch electrical equipment when their hands and feet are still wet; raise and cover electrical equipment in areas at risk of flooding; absolutely do not use electrical equipment when water has flooded into the house; immediately notify the electricity industry when detecting incidents, broken wires or tilted electric poles...

Currently, PC Hue has announced that the unit is implementing support for people to take shelter from floods at the Hue Electricity Company Guest House (No. 100 Nguyen Hue, Thuan Hoa Ward). This is an activity to share difficulties with the community in the context of complicated floods. The guest house is prepared with safe rooms, dry space, drinking water, instant noodles and some essential necessities. In addition, PC Hue also arranges stable power sources in wards, communes, and low-lying areas for people to charge their devices, ensuring communication during floods...
