On the afternoon of June 23, in Rach Gia City, the People's Committee of An Giang Province and the People's Committee of Kien Giang Province jointly held a meeting to listen to reports and review the arrangement of working offices, means of transport, accommodation and other conditions to ensure operations from July 1, 2025 of the system of Party, government and mass organizations under the merger of An Giang - Kien Giang Province.

Concluding the meeting, the leaders of the People's Committees of An Giang and Kien Giang provinces emphasized that in just a few days, An Giang and Kien Giang provinces will merge into the new An Giang province, with new development space and many new policies. Therefore, we need to unite, be of one mind, and coordinate well to quickly approach the work, closely follow the local situation, new policies and regulations to do things correctly and effectively, contributing to the successful implementation of the apparatus streamlining revolution.

The leaders of the People's Committees of An Giang and Kien Giang provinces requested the leaders of the departments and branches of the two provinces to quickly review the actual number of registered housing needs and means of transport for officials, civil servants and public employees. Continue to coordinate to agree on working headquarters to ensure the operations of the departments and branches after July 1. In addition, continue to urgently review and arrange to meet the basic needs of working headquarters, equipment and techniques to operate from July 1. If not yet guaranteed, after July 1, continue to invest in additional equipment to unify, synchronize and connect from the provincial to the commune level.

At the same time, there is a plan to handle surplus assets in accordance with legal regulations. Urgently develop reports, complete and unify data on finance, budget, and public investment before July 1.
