Rural transport is the driving force for socio -economic development in rural areas.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, Muong Khuong district has implemented investment in the construction of 105 rural traffic projects with a total length of 277 km, thereby creating momentum for socio-economic development in rural areas in the area.
To achieve the above results, Muong Khuong district has allocated large capital from the provincial budget and the central budget through national target programs for rural transport projects, especially in particularly difficult communes of the district.
The district has stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to contribute working days and land to build roads. This is an important resource and has brought high efficiency in Muong Khuong district in recent times.
Muong Khuong also focuses on creating conditions for people to participate in the management and supervision process, organizing to collect people's opinions from the beginning about the route direction, location, size, suitable for travel and production needs. Encourage people to directly reflect and give comments when discovering shortcomings or quality problems during the construction process.
Building smart new rural communes

Implementing the smart new rural commune, up to now, Gia Phu commune (Bao Thang district) has achieved 44/52 goals. In 2024, the commune built a smart village model in Dong Cam village with 20 participating members. Up to now, more than 15 administrative procedures have been resolved, with more than 360 records for people directly in the village in areas such as: certification, temporary residence, temporary absence, death certificate... The commune is continuing to expand to the areas of the villages: Chinh Tien, Nam Tra, Nam Phang...
To achieve the above results, the lesson learned through the implementation process is to do a good job of propaganda so that organizations, individuals and people clearly understand their rights, obligations and responsibilities in building smart new rural areas.
The commune has established a steering committee and a village support guidance team, consisting of key commune-level leaders, members who are heads of mass organizations; secretaries, village heads and heads of some grassroots organizations. The steering committee is regularly reorganized when there are changes in personnel, ensuring regular and continuous leadership and direction; assigning specific tasks to responsible members, guiding villages in a hands-on manner.
In addition, the commune also established special working groups headed by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Commune People's Committee to assist the villages in carrying out the task of building a Community Digital Technology Group in the area; proposed the District People's Committee to assign agencies and units in charge of assisting the villages in the implementation process.
Focus on increasing people's income

Following the direction of the Central, the province and the district, the Party Committee and the government of Y Ty commune (Bat Xat district) have focused on leadership, direction, and timely removal of difficulties and obstacles to effectively implement investment programs and projects in the area, thanks to which poverty reduction work has changed significantly. The poverty rate of the whole commune has decreased from 50.79% (in 2021) to 20.42% (in 2025), an average decrease of 7.6%/year.
The Party Committee and the government have directed the introduction of economically efficient crops and livestock into production to increase people's income, focusing on expanding the area of pear trees, medicinal herbs, pig and horse farming. Up to now, the whole commune has planted 15 hectares of pear trees, 6.2 hectares of medicinal herbs (pagoda), 10 hectares of bamboo shoots, 7 hectares of galangal, etc.
In the process of organizing and implementing, the Party Committee, the government and the sectors and organizations of the commune determined the leadership, direction and responsibility of the government, the close coordination of the organizations and the determination and response of the people of all ethnic groups in the area. Leadership and direction must be focused and key, coupled with inspection and supervision; affirming the role of the people of all ethnic groups in sustainable poverty reduction under the slogan "For the poor - leaving no one behind".
