According to the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, currently, the whole province has 3,912 reporters and propagandists; including 5 central-level reporters, 31 provincial-level reporters, 205 district-level reporters, and 3,671 propagandists.

In 2023, the province conducted 26,245 oral propaganda sessions for 2.2 million cadres and party members. Villages, hamlets, and people's groups organized over 12,440 propaganda sessions with over 1 million household representatives attending. The information content at the conferences was carefully selected to ensure practicality, timeliness, and suitability for the audience.

Provincial Fatherland Front officials visited and listened to the living conditions of people at the grassroots level.

To improve the quality and effectiveness of oral propaganda work, in 2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department advised the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to effectively implement the Regulations on the activities of reporters and propagandists of the Central and the province. Accordingly, the team of reporters is tightly organized, systematically from the province to the grassroots, regularly reviewed, supplemented, improved, professionally trained, constantly innovated in content and methods of operation, and is the core force in propaganda work. The quality of information is enhanced in the direction of improving timeliness, ideology, practicality, and focusing on the grassroots.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Thuan, Head of the Propaganda Department of Yen Son District Party Committee, said: In recent times, the district Propaganda Department has proactively advised the Party Committee to issue many documents guiding information and propaganda activities; providing information and propaganda orientation for grassroots reporters and propagandists.

Through oral propaganda activities, the team of reporters and propagandists have grasped the ideological situation, thoughts and aspirations of the people to advise the Party Committee to promptly resolve issues arising at the grassroots level, contributing to the socio -economic development and ensuring national defense and security of the district. The material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved.

Comrade Luu Van Khang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoang Khai Commune (Yen Son) said: In recent times, oral propaganda has played an important role in gathering and mobilizing people to join hands in implementing the criteria for new rural construction. Oral propaganda has been carried out through many channels such as through study sessions, dissemination of resolutions; news, public meetings, voter meetings, citizen reception, dissemination andeducation of law; grassroots mediation activities, cultural and artistic propaganda activities, etc.

Thanks to the good work of propaganda and mobilization of the people, from 2021 to now, the people in the commune have actively contributed money and effort. Projects such as electricity, roads, schools, stations, canals, and sports fields have been jointly built by the State and the people with a value of over 30 billion VND, contributing to bringing Hoang Khai commune to the finish line of a commune meeting advanced new rural standards in 2021 and is currently gradually building a model new rural commune.

Innovation in content and methods of propaganda

Comrade Pham Thi Bich Huong, Member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang City Youth Union, shared that currently, the amount of information on social networks and mass media is very large, and people also have access to a wide variety of information sources. To make oral propaganda effective, reporters, in addition to closely following the direction of Party committees and Propaganda Departments at all levels, must proactively research documents and identify the target audience to choose appropriate propaganda methods.

As one of the active cadres at the grassroots level, who has done a good job of propagating and mobilizing people to successfully complete political tasks in residential areas for many years, Mr. Nguyen Phi Phuong, Head of Tan Phuc residential group, Son Duong town, said: in 2023, he and the leaders of the residential group mobilized people to contribute and support over 320 million VND to rebuild the cultural house yard with an area of 1,000 m2, install 11 high-voltage lighting bulbs, build 03 volleyball courts, 1 badminton court, ensuring cultural and sports activities for the people. Mr. Phuong said: everything needs to be brought to the collective committee, the party cell for careful discussion, and ideological understanding before bringing it to the people's meeting. When bringing the issue to the people, it is necessary to propagate, mobilize, and explain to the people to understand. When it is done, it is necessary to make a public and transparent settlement, creating trust among the people, then everything will be successful.

According to Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Do Hong Thanh, in the coming time, to promote the results achieved in propaganda work and activities of reporters, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department will proactively coordinate with relevant agencies in law enforcement; implement socio-economic development plans, resolve issues of public concern; and improve the team of reporters and propagandists to ensure streamlined and effective operations.

Along with that, focus on training and fostering professional skills; maintain and improve the quality of reporters' conferences, enhance the persuasiveness of oral propaganda work to propagate correctly, accurately, and well, and fulfill the role as the core force in the Party's propaganda work.
