Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tam - Lecturer, Intellectual Property Lawyer; Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Inventors Association; Arbitrator of the Asia- Pacific International Commercial Arbitration Center (PIAC); MSc. Hoang Dinh Thai (Ho Chi Minh City School of Education Management) are the two main speakers of the training course held in person and online.
Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tam presented a report at the training class.
Accordingly, the training course provides basic and updated knowledge about intellectual property rights to increase competitiveness in business activities; how to identify, protect and exploit intellectual property in business activities. At the same time, it analyzes the practice of intellectual property management in enterprises; experience in handling applications when applications are rejected, applications are delayed, lose rights or are appropriated by competitors; procedures for registering industrial property rights and copyrights, etc.
Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang Le Thi Thuc emphasized that in the context of international integration and deep digital transformation today, intellectual property has become a strategic resource, contributing significantly to affirming the position, enhancing competitiveness and moving towards sustainable development for enterprises, especially creative startups.
“Understanding, effectively exploiting and properly protecting intellectual properties such as patents, trademarks, industrial designs, etc. not only helps businesses attract investment and build strong brands, but also opens up opportunities for commercialization and expansion of domestic and foreign markets,” Ms. Le Thi Thuc emphasized.
According to the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang, there are currently more than 40,900 enterprises, branches and representative offices operating in the city, of which digital technology enterprises and startups are gradually becoming pioneers in the knowledge economy .
The city aims to have at least 4,650 digital technology enterprises by 2025, affirming the orientation of developing Da Nang into a center of innovation and digital transformation in the Central Highlands. In that context, improving IP capacity is an urgent and fundamental factor for enterprises to firmly start up and develop sustainably.
