The number of students registering for driving license exams increased at the end of 2023. |
Present at the Driving Test Center of the Vocational College No. 1 of the Ministry of National Defense in Linh Son Commune (Thai Nguyen City) on the morning of December 12, we encountered quite a number of students coming to complete procedures to take the driving license exam. The students all expressed their common mentality that after completing the course, they would take the test immediately to get their driving license before the new year.
During two days (December 12 and 13), at the Driving Test Center of the Ministry of National Defense's Vocational College No. 1, 790 students took the driving license exam for classes B1, B2 to C.
Mr. Nguyen Khanh Toan, Chairman of the School Board, Vice Principal of Thai Nguyen Vocational College, informed: In 2023, the School will train over 20 driving courses of all classes for nearly 1,300 students. Among them, many are currently unemployed, want to change careers or students must have a driver's license to participate in traffic. Therefore, at the end of the year, the School has about 400 students registered to take the driving license exam.
According to the report, in December 2023, the whole province has 11 car driving training courses and 12 motorcycle driving training courses for testing. In addition, nearly 2,000 students from 2022 will be transferred to test in 2023.
This year, due to many reasons, the Department of Transport will not start testing until May 2023, so the number of students gathered at the end of the year is quite large.

In addition to the need for periodic testing, the Department of Transport has decided to increase the number of car driving tests by 3 and motorbike driving tests by 6. The additional tests will be held on all holidays (Saturdays and Sundays) of the week, from the end of November to December 25, 2023. The Department also mobilized 20 examiners to work extra shifts and hours to serve the people.
According to the report of the Department of Transport, Vehicle and Driver Management, from October 25 to November 25, the whole province tested 6,453 cases (3,117 candidates for car driving licenses of all classes and 3,346 candidates for A1 driving licenses). According to the plan, from December 1 to December 24, 2023, the Department of Transport will organize tests for 8,470 cases of car and motorbike driving licenses. It is estimated that in the whole year of 2023, the Department will organize tests for nearly 35,000 students, issue 24,000 new driving licenses, and issue and renew 26,172 driving licenses.
According to Mr. Do Thanh Son, specialist of the Department of Transport, Vehicle and Driver Management (Department of Transport): With a large workload, we have not had a day off for many months. Personally, after working with the Examination Team, I returned to my office and continued to summarize the exam results, advise on issuing driving license issuance decisions to promptly transfer to training facilities to send to students. Everyone is making efforts and improving their sense of responsibility to create the best conditions for people to be granted driving licenses...
