Previously, in the 3-month long-term weather forecast and warning bulletin in Ho Chi Minh City, the Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that in March, the region is still affected by the southern edge of the cold continental high pressure, but the northeast monsoon that dominates the region's weather has weakened a lot, generally with weak to moderate intensity.

It is forecasted that there will be widespread heat waves with severe heat with the highest temperature of 37 degrees Celsius appearing in the city center for a few days. The number of hot days is usually from 10 to 20 days.

In mid-March, the weather in the Southern region is generally dry and sunny. Hot weather with the highest temperature of 35-37 degrees Celsius appears widely in the Eastern region and along the southwestern border for many days. There is very little chance of unseasonal rain, if any, it will be only insignificant.

Forecast in the last week of March, the Southern region is mainly affected by the edge of the hot low pressure in the west with the center in southern China and the Northwest, along with the influence of the subtropical high pressure in the upper layers. The weather is generally rainless, in the last few days of the month, there is a possibility of rain in some places with small amounts. A few days of intense heat with the highest temperature above 37 degrees Celsius in the Eastern region and some places in the Western region.

“Due to the effects of heat, low humidity in the air, there is a risk of explosions, fires in residential areas and forest fires. In addition, heat can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time” - the Southern Hydrometeorological Station warned.
