"Last night, Russian air defense forces shot down five enemy UAVs, four others were intercepted by electronic warfare systems," said the head of the Crimean government, Sergey Aksyonov.
One of the destroyed UAVs fell in the city of Dzhankoy in northern Crimea, breaking the windows of three houses and several cars, Sergey Aksyonov said.

According to the Crimean leadership, another unexploded UAV was found at a house in the area. Authorities evacuated about 50 people from the area.
“There were no casualties as a result of the UAV attack on the night of June 4. I ask everyone to remain calm and stay updated with reliable sources of information,” Mr. Aksyonov said.
Crimea and the peninsula's largest city - Sevastopol, home to Russia's Black Sea Fleet, have been frequently targeted by UAVs and the Ukrainian navy since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Last week, six UAVs were intercepted by electronic warfare or shot down on the peninsula. In early May, at least 10 UAVs targeted Sevastopol, but the attack was repelled by Russian forces.
In March, several UAVs were shot down in Dzhankoy, injuring one person and causing property damage. At the time, Sergey Aksyonov’s aide, Oleg Kryuchkov, insisted that there were no military facilities near the affected area.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on June 3 that Ukraine was ready for a counteroffensive to retake Russian-controlled territories, including Crimea, which Kiev has long hoped would help turn the tide of a conflict that erupted more than a year ago.
