According to some sources, the 2024 Toyota Crown Sport will officially launch in its home country in July this year.
The all-new Toyota Crown Sport will come in a total of four trim levels: traditional sedan (silver), high-chassis liftback "Crossover" (brown), sporty SUV "Sport" (red) and large SUV "Estate" (yellow).
Currently, only the 2023 Toyota Crown Crossover model is sold in 40 global markets. Temporarily, this is also the only version that has announced specifications. The remaining versions are expected to be "unveiled" this year.
Currently, the technical specifications of the 2024 Toyota Crown Sport have not been announced by the company. However, according to the concept launched last year, the car has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,710 x 1,880 x 1,560 mm and a wheelbase of 2,770 mm.
In addition to the striking red paint, the Toyota Crown Sport also has some exterior details reminiscent of the Ferrari Purosangue, such as the “C” shaped headlights that hug the two corners of the front of the car. Between the two headlights of the Toyota Crown Sport is also a small air vent, similar to the Ferrari Purosangue.
Meanwhile, the remaining areas on the front of the car clearly show the difference with the Italian supercar. This sports SUV is equipped with a large central air intake with a mesh mesh and 2 vertical triangular fake air vents.
At the rear, the Toyota Crown Sport has taillights connected by a glossy black strip, located across the rear of the car. The shape inside the taillights reminds people of the Mercedes-Benz GLB and Toyota GR Supra. In addition, the car also has the embossed lettering "Crown" on the trunk door, a fairly long vertical air vent at the two corners of the rear of the car and a glossy black rear bumper.
In particular, the Toyota Crown Sport also uses the crown logo typical of the Crown line on the front of the car. Meanwhile, at the back, the car uses a rather small Toyota logo.
In addition, some exterior details of the car such as: central air vent trim, rearview mirror cover, wheel rims, door trim, rear windshield surround and rear bumper... are also painted glossy black to help the car look more eye-catching and modern.
The 2024 Toyota Crown Sport still has a gas cap on the rear fender, so it is expected to use a hybrid powertrain instead of running on pure electricity. Meanwhile, its "brother" Toyota Crown Crossover 2023, launched last year, is equipped with 2 types of hybrid engines.
The first is the hybrid powertrain, which includes a 2.5L, naturally aspirated, 4-cylinder gasoline engine combined with 2 electric motors similar to the Toyota Camry. The electric motor on the front axle has a maximum capacity of 119.7 horsepower and a maximum torque of 202 Nm. The two corresponding figures for the electric motor on the rear axle are 54.4 horsepower and 121 Nm.
The second is the Dual Boost Hybrid System hybrid powertrain with a 2.4L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 272 horsepower and a maximum torque of 460 Nm. In the FWD front-wheel drive version, the car will use an 82.9 horsepower and 292 Nm electric motor as well as a 6-speed automatic transmission. In the AWD all-wheel drive version, the car has an additional 79.7 horsepower and 168 Nm eAxle electric motor on the rear axle.
