State Bank of Vietnam Region 1 is stepping up the application of AI in its management operations.

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) to business operations is being promoted by the State Bank of Vietnam Region 1 as a way to improve management and operational efficiency and meet the digital transformation requirements of the banking industry in the current period.

The State Bank of Vietnam, Region 1, organized an intensive training program on the topic of "Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to operational activities" for its officers and employees.

On December 18th, the State Bank of Vietnam Region 1 organized a specialized training program on the application of AI in business operations.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Doan Hung Son, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee on Science and Technology Development, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06 of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 1, emphasized the increasingly prominent role of digital technology, especially AI, in state management activities related to currency and banking.

According to Mr. Son, in the context of a large volume of information and increasingly high demands for fast and accurate processing, accessing and effectively utilizing AI tools will support officials in improving the quality of their advisory, synthesis, and analysis work, thereby better serving management and administration.

The training program was organized to concretize the directions on digital transformation in the banking industry, and at the same time help the staff and civil servants of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 1 gradually familiarize themselves with new working methods, in which technology plays a direct supporting role in professional work.

The training content focuses on introducing and guiding the application of AI in the practical work of the Central Bank, such as document management, data processing and analysis, forecasting support, and advisory services. Besides equipping participants with technological knowledge, the program also aims to change work mindsets, viewing AI as a tool to improve work efficiency and quality, rather than replacing human roles.

A large number of officials and employees of the State Bank of Vietnam, Branch Region 1, participated in the training course.

The directives in the lecture also closely followed the guidance of the Party Secretary and Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 1, Nguyen Thi Hoa, on promoting the application of science and technology and digital transformation in the unit's operations. According to this guidance, the use of AI needs to be linked to the requirements of standardizing processes, improving the quality of advisory services, and ensuring efficiency in management and operation.

Within the framework of the program, trainees are introduced to practical content related to the techniques of building AI-powered commands, enabling this technology to directly support specific tasks. Simultaneously, information security and privacy are emphasized as a key requirement throughout the application of AI in the banking business environment.

During a training session, Mr. Le Hoai An, a lecturer at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking, stated that AI is a tool that helps officials process large volumes of data quickly, increasing accuracy in information analysis and synthesis. However, he emphasized that the use of AI needs to be strictly controlled to ensure compliance with regulations on data security and safety, especially in the banking sector.

Through this training program, the State Bank of Vietnam Region 1 expects to gradually develop a modern working method, in which digital technology and AI become powerful supporting tools, contributing to improving the quality of management and operation throughout the unit.
