Journalism and Computer Science continue to have sky-high benchmarks

On the evening of August 22, the following schools: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, University of Natural Sciences, University of Finance and Marketing, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Lac Hong University... continued to announce the admission scores by considering the 2023 high school graduation exam scores.

Journalism and Computer Science continue to have sky-high benchmarks

On the evening of August 22, the Admissions Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH, VNU-HCM) announced the results of the 2023 regular university entrance exam based on the results of the high school graduation exam.

This year, the admission score to the school ranges from 21 to 28 points. Journalism (group C00) is the major with the highest admission score of 28.00 points.

In addition, majors with scores of 27 or higher include: High-quality Journalism (C00: 27.5 points), Tourism and Travel Services Management (C00: 27.4 points), Multimedia Communications (D14, D15: 27.25 points; D01: 27.2 points), Literature (C00: 27 points), Psychology (C00: 27 points).

Statistics show that majors with a combined admission score of 24 points or more account for 66.3%, majors with a combined admission score of 21 to less than 24 points account for 33.7%.

International joint programs have benchmark scores ranging from 21.35 to 22.65 points, specifically: Communications (Journalism major: 22 points), International Relations (22.65 points), English Language (21.35 points), Chinese Language (22 points).

Admission score to University of Social Sciences and Humanities

On the same day, the Admissions Council of the University of Natural Sciences (VNU-HCM) issued a decision on admission scores based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam. The school reserves 30-50% of the total enrollment quota for this method. The floor score ranges from 16 - 24 points depending on the major/group of majors.

In general, this year's admission scores are stable and not much different from 2022. Of which, Computer Science (Advanced Program) continues to maintain the highest benchmark score of 28.05. Next is Artificial Intelligence with a benchmark score of 27 in the first year of admission according to its own major code.

In particular, some majors in the fields of Life Sciences and Natural Sciences have had their benchmark scores increase sharply compared to 2022, such as: Biology, Biology (High Quality Program) increased by 4 - 4.5 points; Oceanography, Physics Group, Electronic Physics Technology and Information Technology increased by 2 points.

The school's leadership said it is expected that the school will not consider additional enrollment.
