Quang Ninh Health Sector is ready to respond to flood victims in Lam Dong

Up to now, the Quang Ninh Health sector has been ready to mobilize at least 66 doctors, 132 nurses and 9 reserve specialists, not to mention reserve forces at the Health Stations to support Lam Dong province when requested.

Implementing the Politburo 's assignment in supporting localities to overcome the consequences of floods and the urgent direction of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the provincial Health sector has urgently activated a plan to mobilize key, elite, and experienced medical forces to be ready to go to support Lam Dong province as soon as requested.

Accordingly, on the night of November 21, the Department of Health requested its subordinate units to review human resources, supplies and prepare adequate rescue conditions. The mobilization was carried out vigorously, prioritizing cadres with professional qualifications, at least 5 years of experience, good health, knowing how to swim and being able to work in harsh conditions of natural disasters.

Floods in Lam Dong province caused heavy damage.

At the provincial hospital block: Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital, Provincial General Hospital, Bai Chay Hospital, each unit arranged 6 doctors and 12 nurses. The remaining hospitals in the province prepared forces, including 4 doctors and 8 nurses per unit, ensuring readiness to go on the move as mobilized.

The Quang Ninh Provincial Center for Disease Control was assigned to mobilize 9 core staff (including 3 testing staff, 3 environmental sanitation staff and 3 disease investigation and treatment staff). This is a force with deep expertise and extensive experience in monitoring, risk assessment and environmental control after natural disasters.

At the grassroots level, each commune, ward and special zone health station has one preventive medical officer with experience in disease prevention and control, ensuring proactive response when mobilized.

Quang Ninh Health Department is ready to mobilize medical forces to support Lam Dong province to overcome floods.

Up to now, the entire Quang Ninh Health sector has been ready to mobilize at least 66 doctors, 132 nurses and 9 reserve specialists, not to mention the reserve force at the Health Stations. This is a large-scale, elite force, demonstrating the province's high determination to accompany Lam Dong in overcoming the consequences of floods and protecting the health and lives of people in heavily affected areas.

The Quang Ninh Health Sector affirms that it is always in the highest state of readiness, closely coordinating with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and departments and branches to deploy support tasks as soon as Lam Dong sends an official request. With the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and humanity, the collective of health staff of Quang Ninh province is determined to complete the assigned tasks well, contributing with the whole country to support people in flood-affected areas to soon stabilize their lives.

Previously, on November 20, the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Ninh province awarded 5 billion VND to Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces to join hands in overcoming the consequences of floods and stabilizing people's lives.

Since August 2025, Quang Ninh province has accompanied and shared with provinces affected by natural disasters with a total budget of 73 billion VND. Thereby, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and responding to the Central Government's call to join hands to help provinces recover soon after storms and floods.
