The National Scientific Conference "Cyber Security and Cryptography in National Security" will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15.

On June 15, the Government Cipher Committee in coordination with the Central Theoretical Council and the Academy of Journalism and Communication will organize a National Scientific Conference on the topic "Cybersecurity and cryptography in national security" at the Hall of the Academy of Cryptography Techniques, Government Cipher Committee.

The workshop is a forum for leaders, experts, scientists and organizations to exchange and discuss in order to clarify a number of theoretical and practical issues on cyber security, cryptography and non-traditional security management, focusing on cyber security in national security. The workshop also clarifies the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and State as well as the political and legal basis to ensure national sovereignty in cyberspace; assesses the current situation of the problem; thereby advising and proposing specific policies and solutions to develop human resources for cyber security and cryptography as well as focusing resources on cyber security management; proposes and recommends mechanisms and policies on culture, soft power in cyber security, cryptography, national defense and security policies, contributing to the development of the Documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

The event will be attended by over 300 delegates from nearly 30 agencies, organizations, enterprises and over 50 central and local press agencies. The delegates attending the workshop are representatives of leaders of ministries, departments and branches: Central Propaganda Department; Ministry of Information and Communications and a number of agencies under the Ministry; representatives of leaders and members of the Central Theoretical Council, Command 86 - Ministry of National Defense, Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control, Department of Internal Security - Ministry of Public Security, Department of National Cyber Security, Information Technology Center - Government Office; Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Academy of Journalism and Communication and other Universities and Academies.

The event also had the participation of delegates who are leaders of the Government Cipher Committee and the Cipher Department of ministries, branches, agencies and units under the Committee; Board of Directors, Departments, specialized faculties, scientists and experts of the Academy of Cryptography Techniques; Associations and companies operating in the field of Information Security and Network Security.

The workshop was chaired by Professor, Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan - Former member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hung - Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee and Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang - Deputy Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Head of Project KX04-32/21-25.

At the workshop, delegates will listen to and discuss focusing on the following topics: "Ensuring ideological security in the current cyberspace environment"; "Current state of cyber security governance in Vietnam and issues arising in the process of cyber security governance"; "Cryptography in national security"; "International and regional cooperation in preventing, responding to, and resolving non-traditional security threats, focusing on cyber security"; "Some issues arising in protecting the Fatherland in cyberspace"; "Trends of cyber attacks and solutions"; "Ensuring cyber security for data centers"; "Forecasting the situation and factors affecting the prevention and response to cyber security risks in the coming time".
