August 21 and 22: Questioning and answering questions at the 36th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee

On the afternoon of August 6, at the National Assembly House, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting to review preparations for the question-and-answer session at the 36th meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee (NASC).

This is the first time during the 15th National Assembly term that the Standing Committee of the National Assembly has conducted questioning combined with reviewing the implementation of agencies' resolutions of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on thematic supervision and questioning.

It is expected that these question and answer sessions will be broadcast live on Voice of Vietnam , Vietnam Television, and Vietnam National Assembly Television for voters and people to follow and monitor.

The National Assembly Chairman stated that the questioning sessions will take place over a day and a half (expected to be August 21 and 22).

“This is a regular task, but we must not be subjective. We must prepare very carefully so that the chairman's management as well as the National Assembly deputies' questions and the ministers and heads of sectors' answers are focused and key, achieving the highest efficiency," emphasized comrade Tran Thanh Man.

The questioning content is expected to focus on two groups of fields. The first group of fields includes: Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, Culture, Sports and Tourism with a duration of about 190 minutes. The second group of fields includes: Justice; Internal Affairs; Security, Order, Social Safety, Inspection, Court, Procuracy with a duration of about 250 minutes.

Regarding the questioning method, it is implemented according to the regulations of the session and the practice at recent questioning sessions. Secretary General and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that so far, the documents for the questioning session have basically been fully ensured. After this session, the Secretary General of the National Assembly will send them to National Assembly deputies for study.
