According to information from the provincial Department of Education and Training, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Quang Ninh province has 19,930 candidates registered to take the exam, an increase of 1,966 candidates compared to the previous year (2024: 17,964 candidates). Of which, 19,594 candidates registered to take the exam under the 2018 GeneralEducation Program (98.3%); 336 candidates registered to take the exam under the 2006 General Education Program (1.7%).
The whole province organizes 1 Examination Council with 40 Examination Sites (an increase of 3 Examination Sites compared to 2024) located at educational institutions that meet the requirements for organizing the examination, ensuring compliance with the Examination Regulations, convenience for candidates and safety for the organization of the Examination. Of which, Ha Long is the locality with the most Examination Sites with 9 Examination Sites; followed by the localities of Cam Pha: 6 Examination Sites; Quang Yen, Dong Trieu: 5 Examination Sites; Uong Bi: 4 Examination Sites; Mong Cai: 3 Examination Sites; Van Don: 2 Examination Sites; the remaining localities arrange 1 Examination Site.
Candidates are arranged to take the exam in 849 examination rooms (an increase of 64 examination rooms compared to 2024). Independent candidates and Continuing Education candidates are arranged to take the exam together with 12th grade General Education candidates, ensuring that the number of 12th grade General Education candidates accounts for at least 50% of the total number of candidates at the Examination Site.
To organize the exam, the Department of Education and Training in coordination with the Provincial Police and the Department of Health plans to mobilize about 3,500 officers, teachers and employees to participate in the exam supervision task according to the exam regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training .
2025 is the first year to organize the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. Students must take 4 subjects. Of which, 2 compulsory subjects are Literature and Mathematics; 2 optional subjects are from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Industrial Technology (abbreviated as Industrial Technology), Agricultural Technology (abbreviated as Agricultural Technology), Foreign Languages (English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese and Korean).
Compared to last year, the number of subjects will decrease by two and the number of exam sessions will decrease by one. The exam schedule will be held in 3 sessions, including 1 Literature exam session, 1 Math exam session and 1 optional exam session of 2 subjects.
At the same time, candidates can still choose to register for the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program with 4 sessions and 4 exams, including: Literature, Math, Natural Science Group or Social Science Group and Foreign Language.
This year's exam will take place on June 26 and 27, 2025. The exam results will be announced on July 16.
This afternoon, June 25, candidates will be present at the examination sites to complete examination procedures; correct any errors in registration information (if any); listen to the examination regulations, examination schedule and some notes during the examination.
