May 22 of each year is chosen by the United Nations as the International Day for Biological Diversity to raise awareness of the global community about the importance of biodiversity to life and sustainable development of our planet.
The International Day for Biological Diversity 2025 was launched by the United Nations with the theme "Living in harmony with nature and sustainable development".
