Nghe An established a Steering Committee to streamline the political system's organizational structure to operate effectively and efficiently.

Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has issued a Decision to establish a Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient".

According to the decision, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province is the Head of the Steering Committee; comrades Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee are the Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee members include comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee and leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee spoke at the 25th Session of the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council.

Duties and powers of the Steering Committee : Implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently"; develop a Project to reorganize the apparatus of the political system of Nghe An province to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently, and report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee.

Assign tasks to Steering Committee members; develop an implementation plan.

The Steering Committee works part-time. The members of the Steering Committee perform their duties as assigned by the Head of the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee has a Working Group established by decision of the Steering Committee.
