Nearly 400-year-old pagoda in Bac Giang sparkles on the day of Buddha's relic procession

Phuc Son Pagoda was built in 1693 under the Later Le Dynasty.
Phuc Son Pagoda was extensively renovated and inaugurated on December 16, 2023. The pagoda is located on Phuong Hoang Mountain, with the shape of a phoenix taking off, and is considered one of the pagodas with unique traditional architecture of Vietnamese Buddhism.
This is an important spiritual and cultural project, not only serving the religious needs of Buddhists but also contributing to the development of spiritual tourism for Bac Giang province.
Phuc Son Pagoda is not only a place for Buddhist activities but also a cultural center, a place to organize summer retreats and ethics classes for teenagers, to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of Tan Yen homeland.
The Buddha's relics will be carried from Bai Dinh Pagoda to Phuc Son Pagoda for people and Buddhists to worship from 12:00 on May 23. This is an important spiritual event, attracting the attention of many Buddhists and tourists from near and far.
In particular, Phuc Son Pagoda is 13 stories high, with a height of 45m. Inside the stupa is a jade Buddha statue of King Tran Nhan Tong.
The pagoda is a Buddhist cultural work of the local people of Kinh Bac region in ancient times, a place to spread the teachings of Buddha through each period and each historical milestone of the nation.
