According to fishermen in fishing villages, this year there are more sea shrimp streams appearing closer to shore and the quality is better than last year.
Regardless of day or night, as soon as they discover a stream of shrimp, fishermen immediately board their boats to catch it.
It only takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour for each trip, and fishermen on the boat bring back to shore hundreds of kilos of fresh red sea shrimp.
Fishing ports in Binh Dinh are always bustling with boats coming in and out and traders "hunting" for shrimp at the source.
Each crate of shrimp that fishermen bring from the sea to shore weighs from 10 to 12 kg, the selling price at the source ranges from 150,000 to 250,000 VND/crash depending on the time. On average, each boat, after deducting expenses, earns more than 10 million VND.
Unlike anchovies that fishermen catch in fixed seasons, shrimp in Binh Dinh waters usually lasts from October to March of the lunar calendar every year.
Shrimp fishing mainly follows the near-shore ocean currents. Fresh shrimp after catching, if not purchased by traders, will be sold to fishermen. make shrimp paste or dry, package and consume gradually during the year.
The shrimp fishing industry is most concentrated in Nhon Ly island commune (Quy Nhon city). The entire island commune currently has more than 170 fishing boats exploiting seafood in general and shrimp in particular. In season, the image of boats bustling back and forth on the sea makes the picture of the fishing village become bustling and lively.
