Stop horse-drawn carriage service around Xuan Huong Lake, plan to move to Tuyen Lam Lake area

(LĐ online) - The People's Committee of Da Lat City has decided to stop the business of transporting passengers by horse-drawn carriage around Xuan Huong Lake and move the above activities to Tuyen Lam Lake area of Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area.

Da Lat City agrees to stop horse-drawn carriage tours around Xuan Huong Lake from February 25.

According to the policy and opinion of the People's Committee of Da Lat City, the unit agreed to stop the service of transporting passengers by horse-drawn carriage for sightseeing and tourism around Xuan Huong Lake.

Da Lat City People's Committee explained that the suspension of operations is implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, starting from February 25 as proposed by the Economic Department earlier.

To implement the above policy, the People's Committee of Da Lat City assigned the Urban Management Department to coordinate with the Da Lat City Police to install signs prohibiting horse-drawn carriages around Xuan Huong Lake starting from February 25.

Da Lat City plans to move horse carriage business to Tuyen Lam Lake area, about 6km from the city center.

Coordinate with relevant units to study current regulations to advise the City People's Committee on the location of the wharf and the operating route of the horse-drawn carriage passenger transport service in the area around Tuyen Lam Lake, part of Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area.

According to records from February 25 to the morning of February 26, horse-drawn carriage business activities have been temporarily suspended. The authorities have placed a number of signs prohibiting horse-drawn carriages from operating in some locations around Xuan Huong Lake.

Many locals and tourists, upon hearing the news, expressed regret because viewing Xuan Huong Lake by horse-drawn carriage has long been a characteristic of attractive tourism for locals and tourists when visiting the city center.
