People flock to West Lake to watch drone show, Hanoi streets jammed nearly 3km

At 9:30 p.m. on March 9, a light show with hundreds of drones took place at Trinh Cong Son walking street (Tay Ho) as part of the "Colors and Fragrances of Tay Ho" program to promote tourism in the capital.

The event attracted tens of thousands of people to the area that evening. The large number of people caused serious congestion on the roads leading to Trinh Cong Son walking street.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , at 10:10 p.m. on Lac Long Quan Street, traffic was chaotic and vehicles could not move, even though the location was about 3km from the drone demonstration site.

Going to see the drone show but unable to reach the location because of traffic jams, Nguyen Anh Tu (20 years old, Hanoi) shook his head in frustration: "I've been stuck here for more than 30 minutes, now I just want to go back but I can't because there are too many people. I opened Google Maps and it was still 2.8km away from the drone viewing spot."

According to Tuoi Tre Online , at 10:20 p.m., there was also a serious traffic jam along Trich Sai Street. Cars, motorbikes, and pedestrians were crowded together, making it impossible to move.

The light show "The Fragrance of West Lake" will take place at 9:30 p.m. on March 9 at Trinh Cong Son walking street (Tay Ho, Hanoi). The organizers will use hundreds of drones in the "Get on Hanoi 2024" program to attract more tourists to West Lake.

Through the organization of the program, the capital's tourism industry hopes to continue to communicate and promote the image of Hanoi as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination to attract more and more tourists to Hanoi in general and Tay Ho in particular.

The program is also part of a series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.

The opening night of "Get on Hanoi 2024 - The Fragrance of Tay Ho" also brought visitors a new and impressive performance with a combination of modern and epic through a semi-realistic art program and a laser mapping light show.

In particular, the light show with hundreds of drones in the night sky of West Lake will bring an extremely interesting and emotional experience to the audience. Visitors will be able to explore a miniature West Lake, Hanoi through this night show.

Also in the program, the Hanoi People's Committee will announce the recognition of Nhat Tan tourist area (Tay Ho district, Hanoi) as a city-level tourist area.
