Coming to Kim Son today, it is easy to see that the once poor countryside is improving. The construction of solid schools, irrigation works serving production are being invested in synchronously and the electricity grid is being expanded to residential areas. Rural roads are being invested in and upgraded, new houses are being built, commercial services are developing... To achieve these successes is the companionship of a number of businesses located in the commune in the process of building new rural areas.
Recalling the time before 2016, when Au Kim Dai had not been built, the southern localities of the province such as Kim Son, Yen Mo, Yen Khanh... often suffered from deep saltwater intrusion, especially difficulty in getting water for the spring crop, heavily dependent on the discharge of water from Hoa Binh Lake because the water in the rivers in the Kim Son area was almost dry and affected by saltwater intrusion.
With funding from the French Development Agency (AFD) in 2016, the Au Kim Dai construction project to prevent salinity, retain fresh water and respond to the impact of rising sea levels for 6 districts and cities in the South Ninh Binh area, Ninh Binh province was implemented with a total investment of 543,455 billion VND.
With an important meaning in the field of irrigation and agriculture, which has a positive impact on the entire southern region of Ninh Binh province, Kim Phat Company Limited (Kim Son) is the contractor who has made great efforts throughout the implementation process, completing the construction 1 year ahead of schedule compared to the project approval decision and the signed funding agreement.
Mr. Tran Son, Director of Kim Phat Company Limited (Kim Son), representative of the construction contractor, shared: Determining that this is a project of important significance, immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony, the contractor focused on the best human resources, machinery, and technical staff to ensure the progress, technique, and aesthetics of the project. Although there were many difficulties during the construction process, with the experience of a contractor for irrigation works and the responsibility of a son of Kim Son, we completed the project 1 year ahead of schedule to make an achievement to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the name Ninh Binh and the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the province.
With the capacity, reputation and experience of a contractor specializing in the construction of irrigation works requiring high technology, Kim Phat Company Limited continues to be selected to construct the Phat Diem Urban Infrastructure Improvement Project. The project is expected to create a new change in the urban space of Phat Diem in particular and the coastal area of Kim Son in general with the foundation of environmental friendliness and adaptation to climate change. Therefore, since the commencement of construction, it has received the participation of the Party Committee, the government, and the enthusiastic support of the people where the project passes. Currently, the investor and contractor are determined to speed up the construction to ensure progress and quality.
Mr. Tran Son once shared: "As a soldier who has gone through many hardships, now returning to my hometown, I only have one wish: to contribute my efforts with the community to make my hometown more beautiful and make my hometown people happier."
For that reason, along with the task of effective production and business activities, ensuring income for employees, Kim Phat Company Limited is one of the pioneers in the movement of implementing social security work, humanitarian charity; joining hands and supporting localities in building new rural areas.
In addition to the companionship of businesses and entrepreneurs contributing to changing the face of rural areas in localities, the emulation movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" is spreading strongly among each citizen, creating new vitality and a new face for Kim Son homeland.
Previously, the inter-village roads of Hoi Ninh commune were quite narrow, less than 1.8m wide. But now they have become spacious, well-concrete, long, with the road surface expanded to more than 5m. This is the clearest evidence of the results of the joint efforts of the Party Committee, government and local people to build new rural areas.
That appearance is thanks to typical people like the family of Mr. Tran Van Dau, Hamlet 5, Hoi Ninh Commune. Mr. Dau shared: The movement to build a new rural area is to make our hometown more beautiful, to make the lives of rural people more civilized, and for our children to have the opportunity to study in a more modern environment, so when the movement to join hands to build a new rural area was launched, everyone in my hometown was happy and excited. I myself donated 30 square meters of land to expand the inter-village road and mobilized families in Hamlet 5 whose land area was affected to voluntarily dismantle the construction to donate land for road construction.
Determining that to successfully implement the new rural construction program, it is necessary to maximize the support of the people. Therefore, the local Party Committee and government in Kim Son district are always open and transparent in their policies, plans, and implementation measures so that the people can know, discuss, do, contribute, and enjoy the results.
With the joint efforts and consensus of the people and business community, along with the investment capital from the state, Kim Son has successfully built a new rural district. The system of cultural and sports facilities from the district to the commune and hamlet levels has received attention and investment.
Mr. Tran Anh Khiem, Vice Chairman of Kim Son District People's Committee said: With the active participation of the Fatherland Front and organizations at all levels in the district, the movement to build advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and civilized urban areas has been creating a spreading effect, people have actively responded to donate land for rural roads; contributed money and working days to improve infrastructure, village roads, alleys, cultural institutions...
The total investment for new rural construction in the district is 7,078,313 million VND, of which state budget capital accounts for 51%, credit capital accounts for 11%, capital mobilized from enterprises accounts for 7% and capital participation from the community accounts for 30% with nearly 800 works and projects investing in infrastructure serving new rural construction.
From the outstanding and comprehensive results in implementing the new rural criteria, up to 99.53% of the people in the district are satisfied. This is a strong motivation for Kim Son to continue its strong and steady development steps in the process of industrialization, modernization of rural agriculture, integration and sustainable development.
With the right policies and appropriate ways of the Party Committee, the government and the participation of the Fatherland Front and people's organizations, they have contributed to effectively implementing the targets of socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, ensuring security and national defense in the whole district. This result has created a new position and strength for localities in Kim Son district to successfully implement the goal of building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas.
