According to records, with a series of discounted products, right after the opening hours, many people and tourists flocked to "underground shopping" at Ben Thanh station of urban railway line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien). In addition, the shopping centers participating in the program on this occasion also became bustling with a "rain" of promotions, with thousands of products deeply discounted.
The event is considered not only a shopping festival for residents and tourists, but also contributes to creating a vibrant atmosphere to celebrate National Day September 2, while affirming the pioneering role of Ho Chi Minh City in developing trade, services and tourism .
According to the organizers, the "City Sale 2025" program will take place on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok, Lazada and directly at 5 locations.
From August 14 to 24, the program will start at Parc Mall. From August 28 to September 7, it will continue at Ben Thanh Station and shopping centers Diamond Plaza, SC VivoCity, and Mega Mall Thao Dien.
In particular, for the first time, the underground shopping space at Ben Thanh station (metro line 1) was put into operation, directly connecting to Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien.
This year's "City Sale" brings together more than 500 domestic and international brands, spanning many product lines from cosmetics, perfumes, fashion , accessories to household appliances... with discounts of up to 80%, expected to attract 30% - 50% more visitors to shopping malls.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that "City Sale" has become a highlight to stimulate consumption, support businesses, promote cashless payments and promote the image of Ho Chi Minh City as a "shopping destination" in the region.
Ho Chi Minh City hopes that this event will not only help businesses sell products and promote their brands, but also demonstrate their commitment to quality, reputation and service to customers.
Mr. Dung also called on the business community to continue accompanying Ho Chi Minh City, and hoped that people and tourists would actively participate so that "City Sale 2025" truly becomes a shopping - consumption - cultural experience festival, spreading the vitality and spirit of international integration of Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the first 7 months of the year, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in Ho Chi Minh City reached more than 1 quadrillion VND (up 15.5%). Of which, retail sales of goods reached 554,749 billion VND (up 14.8%). These figures show the strong vitality of the Ho Chi Minh City retail market, promising a breakthrough thanks to stimulus programs such as "City Sale".
