Mr. Cut Po Van in Na Be village, Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district said that his family has many children, all of whom are married and living on their own, and their income is unstable, so they cannot support him and his wife much. Meanwhile, both of them are old and weak, often sick, so they cannot afford to build a house. Therefore, for many years, they have had to live in a dilapidated, rickety house that is unsafe during heavy rains and strong winds.

Following the policy of the superiors, through the review process, Mr. Cut Po Van's family was eligible for support to build a new house. Knowing this information, not only his family but many families in the village were happy and congratulated Mr. Van's family.
“Having a new house is so much fun! Thanks to the Party and State's attention and the support from the local Party Committee and government, my family has a solid house to protect us from the sun and rain,” Mr. Cut Po Van shared.

Receiving us in her new house, Mrs. Va Y Xenh excitedly shared: “Having worked hard all my life, I never dared to think that my family would live in a solid and spacious house like this. This is the motivation and strength for my family to try to increase labor, production and improve the quality of life.”

Sharing the joy, Mr. Kha Van Tuong's family in Cay Me village, Tam Thai commune, was excited to be ready to move into their new house.
Mr. Tuong said: “The family is short of people, the two daughters are married far away, my wife and I are no longer healthy, we can no longer do heavy work, we only raise a couple of chickens, grow vegetables... to make ends meet. For many years, my family has lived in a cramped, seriously degraded house, but because of the difficult circumstances, we did not dare to borrow money to build a house. With the support of superiors, my family is very happy. Along with that, with the help of the villagers, district and commune officials who came to the place to give enthusiastic instructions, the house was completed earlier than expected. On April 30, my family will be handed over the house.”

It is known that Mr. Tuong's family house was built with a total value of more than 100 million VND, of which 60 million VND was supported from the source of removing temporary, dilapidated houses, the rest was contributed by children and grandchildren and people in and outside the village.
According to statistics, in 2025, Tuong Duong district has 1,673 households in need of housing. There are 4 units that have reached the 100% start-up rate: Tam Quang (37/37); Nhon Mai (78/78); Mai Son (147/147); Xa Luong (21/21).

Comrade Le Van Luong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Tuong Duong District said that identifying the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses is an important criterion for sustainable poverty reduction, so Tuong Duong District has launched a "90-day and night" campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for policy families and poor households.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the district mobilized the entire political system and people to implement the project. The review process was quick, public, transparent, and targeted to the right beneficiaries.
In the spirit of State support, community assistance, and households being proactive and determined to build houses, up to now, the set targets have basically been achieved and exceeded as planned.
Each new house completed means that one more poor household will have a safe and stable place to live, thereby helping people feel secure in their work and production, and escape poverty.
