In the first 4 months of 2025, the industrial production index increased by 12.31% over the same period. Of which: the mining industry is estimated to increase by 17.58%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning is estimated to increase by 13.17%; the processing and manufacturing industry is estimated to increase by 12.08% and the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry is estimated to increase by 9.89%.
The industrial production index increased due to businesses' efforts to find consumer markets, especially foreign markets, so orders increased. Many new projects have been put into stable operation, contributing to the province's economic growth target. According to Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, in the first months of 2025, industrial production in Nghe An province still faces many difficulties and challenges due to the complicated and unpredictable developments of the world economy such as: global economic instability, rising inflation, geopolitical fluctuations, etc., which have created great pressure on production and business activities.
In addition, internal problems of enterprises such as: changes in labor structure, shortage of highly skilled human resources, requirements for green transformation, digitalization require enterprises to adapt quickly. However, with high determination, great efforts, drastic, timely and effective actions of the entire political system, the consensus of the community participating in the production process, industrial production activities in the province still maintain growth momentum. Thereby, contributing significantly to the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks of the province with The target industrial production value is 130,600 billion VND, an increase of 15.55% compared to 2024.
