This week is held for 5 days (May 9-13) with 50 booths and more than 500 OCOP products which are regional specialties of Hanoi and 21 provinces and cities across the country (Son La, Quang Nam, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Hung Yen, Phu Yen, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Tien Giang, Da Nang, Cao Bang, Khanh Hoa, Ha Nam, Tuyen Quang, Quang Ngai, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Phu Tho).

Hanoi city alone has 20 booths with more than 100 participating OCOP products.

At the program, Deputy Chief of Office in charge of the Office of the Coordination Office for the New Rural Development Program of Hanoi city Ngo Van Ngon said: Hanoi city has a large agricultural development space, the scale of agricultural products is the largest in the country, the rice area is more than 153 thousand hectares, vegetables 34,000 hectares, aquaculture 24,700 hectares, raising 1.5 million pigs, 42.3 million poultry.

Hanoi currently has 1,336 active agricultural cooperatives; 1,574 farms; 172 production and consumption chains; more than 164 high-tech application models; more than 14,000 agricultural, forestry and fishery products have been granted traceability codes (QRCode).

The capital Hanoi with its long-standing cultural heritage, has 1,350 craft villages, accounting for 40% of craft villages nationwide, and is a potential cradle for developing OCOP products.

Regarding cuisine, culinary processing has many regional and family secrets that achieve culinary quintessence, regional specialties have great economic value, creating a proud cultural identity.

These are very favorable potential advantages for Hanoi to implement the One Commune One Product Program. From 2019 to now, Hanoi has evaluated and classified 3,317 OCOP products (accounting for 21.3% of the country), including 6 5-star products, 22 potential 5-star products, 1,571 4-star products and 1,718 3-star products; the leading locality in the country in terms of the number of OCOP products.
