Da Nang: Ready for the opening night of the 2025 International Fireworks Festival

From May 31 to July 15, Da Nang will kick off the 2025 International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) on the largest scale ever. Everything is ready. During the 6 nights of performance, Da Nang is expected to welcome millions of domestic and foreign tourists.

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, the opening night of DIFF 2025 on the evening of May 31 will feature two world-class fireworks performances: “Cultural Essence” by Da Nang representative - Da Nang International Fireworks Team (Vietnam 1) and “Nordic Light - Northern European Light” by the reigning DIFF 2024 champion Finland (Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB Team).

Preparations for the opening night have been basically completed. The Organizing Committee has installed, tested and put into use a grandstand with a capacity of 10,570 seats; completed the stage structure, decoration, sound, lighting as well as deployed the installation of a pontoon bridge system at the water surface of the grandstand on the Han River as an emergency exit to serve the transportation of delegates...

On May 28, inspecting the festival preparations, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi noted that it is necessary to carefully prepare the stage, stands, and art programs so that DIFF 2025 not only has outstanding fireworks performances but also brings impressive art programs...

Accommodation establishments in Da Nang also clearly identify their responsibility to accompany the People's Committee of Da Nang City in enhancing the destination's image, especially during DIFF 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of the Danang Hotel Association, said that the Association has called on member hotels and resorts to improve service quality, ensure safety, hygiene and professional standards in serving tourists.

In the first 4 months of 2025, Da Nang tourism continued to grow strongly. The city's accommodation facilities served more than 3.5 million visitors, an increase of 18.6% over the same period in 2024; revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel reached more than 11.4 trillion VND, an increase of 22.5% over the same period in 2024.

The time of Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) is also identified as the peak tourist season. On this occasion, the city's major events are simultaneously organized in a rich and diverse manner.

To ensure safe and stable power supply for DIFF 2025, Da Nang Power Company Limited has prepared scenarios to respond to possible situations so that power supply is not interrupted.

As the unit assigned by the People's Committee of Da Nang City to protect the water surface area and security, order and safety on the Han River before, during and after DIFF 2025, the Da Nang City Border Guard has also proactively deployed plans to coordinate and cooperate with security forces for this major event.

Colonel Tran Cong Thanh, Political Commissar of the Da Nang City Border Guard, said that the unit is ready to mobilize forces and vehicles to handle any unexpected situations that may arise. Plans to participate in search and rescue operations and prevent people and vehicles from disturbing security and order in the area have been assigned.

Right after DIFF 2025, from June 19 to 23, the People's Committee of Da Nang City will organize the Enjoy Danang Festival 2025. The opening night and the grand music festival will take place at 7:00 p.m. on June 20 at the East Sea Park, expected to attract more than 20,000 spectators. The event will feature famous artists such as Mono, My My, Orange, DJ Peeka, along with elaborate art performances combining music, light and dance.
