Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu becomes Director of Vietnam Drama Theater

Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu has just been appointed Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater.

On May 27, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung signed a decision appointing Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu as Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater. The decision is effective for 5 years from the date of signing.

Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu took on the position of Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater from May 27.

Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu, born in 1975, is a familiar face to drama audiences. He joined the Vietnam Drama Theater in the early 2000s. He appeared in many famous plays such as: The Hero's Tale, Hamlet, Kieu, Seeing Sunshine in the Storm, World Affairs...

Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu is also a stage director with many works highly appreciated by experts. The rest directed by him once deeply moved the public with its humanistic message and meticulous artistic quality. This work won the Gold Medal at the 2021 National Drama Festival.

Previously, in 2015, he was awarded the Gold Medal at the People's Public Security Soldier Stage Arts Festival for his role in Seeing Sunshine in the Storm - a work full of humanity and drama.

Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu won the Gold Medal at the 2015 People's Public Security Soldier Stage Arts Festival with the play In the Storm, I See the Sun.

Besides the stage, Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu also participated in many beloved TV series such as When the birds return, The House, The Laurel Wreath, The Sentimental Boy, Birth and Death, Are You a Man?… Besides, he also dubs for many plays and series.

He received the title of Meritorious Artist in 2019 and has held the position of Deputy Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater since 2020.
