Plan to organize the 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2025

The 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2025 is organized to continue affirming the important position and role of Party building work, attracting the attention of cadres, party members and the whole society to the work of Party building, building a strong political system; creating trust and an exciting atmosphere among cadres, party members and people.

At the same time, improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda activities, contributing to building a clean and strong Party; improve the quality of cadres, party members and the quality of activities of the political system.

Promoting the role of press agencies, cadres, party members and people in participating in building the Party and the political system; preventing and combating degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party; strengthening the flesh-and-blood relationship between the Party and the people...

The award is selected and awarded to authors (groups of authors) and excellent journalistic works on Party building in the following aspects: politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres, in the following fields of work: organization - cadres, propaganda - mass mobilization, inspection, internal affairs, prevention and combat of corruption, waste, negativity... focusing on:

Implementing resolutions and conclusions of the Central Executive Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat on the revolution of streamlining the organizational apparatus of the political system, associated with the arrangement of administrative units, and implementing the two-level local government model.

Preparation and organization of party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Continue to innovate the Party's leadership method for the political system, improve the capacity to organize the implementation of the Party's policies and guidelines, meeting the requirements of the country's new development period; develop working methods and working styles of Party committees and organizations at all levels in conjunction with perfecting institutions for Party building and political system building.

Reflecting the results of creating momentum to accelerate to the finish line early in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; innovation to create resources and technical facilities to develop the country in the new era.

Discover, commend and replicate good models, effective practices, and exemplary examples in implementing regulations on setting examples for cadres and party members, in conjunction with implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the 12th Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; further strengthen the close relationship between the Party and the People, truly relying on the People to build the Party.

The award is given to press agencies, journalists' associations, propaganda and mass mobilization departments, and party committees with achievements in propagating Party building work and organizing the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award; honoring journalists with many contributions to propaganda work on Party building and praising typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. The Award Organizing Committee selects a number of typical characters in the award-winning works to honor (if any).

Participants: All Vietnamese people at home and abroad (including overseas Vietnamese) whose press works are published or broadcast on all types of press (printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television, etc.). Authors participating in the Award must not violate the regulations on professional ethics of Vietnamese journalists, the Press Law, the Intellectual Property Law and other provisions of law.

The participating works are press works, including print, electronic, radio, television, and press photo genres. Works that have won awards at local and central press awards are eligible to participate in the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, but must clearly state the award level and which agency organized it. Works that have won awards at the National Press Award will not be accepted.

The time for posting and publishing works is from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025. The deadline for receiving works is November 10, 2025 (according to the postmark).

The Steering Committee of the Award includes the leaders of the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Communist Magazine, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Journalists Association, Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnam Television, with the Head of the Central Organizing Committee as the Head of the Steering Committee.

The Organizing Committee of the Award includes leaders of agencies and a number of units under the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Communist Magazine, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Journalists Association, Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnam Television, with the Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine as Head of the Organizing Committee.

Communist Magazine is the Standing Agency of the Prize.

About the work: There is 1 Special prize, 6 A prizes, 12 B prizes, 18 C prizes and 30 Encouragement prizes. In addition, the 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2025 has 12 special prizes.

Regarding the collective: There are 15 Outstanding Awards for press agencies, journalists' associations, propaganda and mass mobilization departments, and exemplary Party committee organizing committees.

About Featured Characters: Honor some featured characters in the award-winning work (if any).

The announcement and awarding ceremony of the 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2025 will be held in Hanoi on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the Party's founding on February 3. The awarding ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV1).
