Continuous flooding has caused property damage, disrupted people's lives, and made life difficult. However, Hue people are still resilient, and soon stabilized their lives after the water receded.
On November 18, floodwaters on rivers gradually receded. With their experience, people living in the flood-prone areas of Bao Vinh, Hoa Chau ward urgently cleaned up inside and outside their houses with the motto of cleaning up wherever the water receded.
Having to stay up all night waiting for the flood to recede, Mrs. Phan Thi Tu (living in Hoa Chau ward, Hue city) took advantage of the time the water level had just receded to push mud out of her house.
Mrs. Tu shared: "Bao Vinh ancient town is flooded every year. But this year, the people here have to "struggle" to cope with 4 floods. Although it is very tiring, to save time, everyone has to wait until the water recedes and then clean up immediately. This is also the flood cleaning experience of the people of Central Vietnam".
While actively cleaning Bao Vinh Street, Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh, residing in Hoa Chau Ward, Hue City, shared: "From early morning, people in this neighborhood have been taking to the streets together to clean up and push mud. After experiencing 4 floods in less than a month, everyone is exhausted. But with the spirit of solidarity and maintaining public hygiene, people are very enthusiastic and join hands to clean up the neighborhood."

Living in the low-lying area of Hoa Chau ward, Mr. Do Nguyen is very familiar with the scene of long-term floodwaters. To support people moving out of the flooded area, Mr. Nguyen volunteered to transport people for free during the recent flood days.
Mr. Nguyen said: "During the flood, people seem to be closer together, ready to help when needed, share food with each other, and overcome difficulties together. With the desire to help the people here, I rowed a boat to carry people through the deep flooded area. Although I was very tired, I felt happy and joyful."
By the evening of November 18, the flood on the Huong River had dropped to above alert level 1. The flood on the Bo River had dropped below alert level 2, helping to reduce flooding in low-lying areas, creating favorable conditions for people to recover from the flood.
Currently, Hue city is urgently implementing post-flood recovery activities; at the same time, mobilizing forces to focus on cleaning up streets, roads, and parks to soon stabilize people's lives.
