On the morning of August 21, Next Media Solutions Joint Stock Company and VMG Media Joint Stock Company (VMG Media) announced exclusive ownership of the German Football Championship - Bundesliga on all broadcasting platforms in Vietnam for 5 seasons.
Next Media and VMG Media own exclusive rights to the Bundesliga for 5 seasons.
At the same time, it was announced that for the first time, matches taking place within the framework of the German National Cup - DFB Pokal season 2023-2026, will be distributed and broadcast in Vietnam by the two units.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam, General Director of VMG Media Joint Stock Company said: “Three months ago, VMG Media was honored to become the exclusive copyright owner of the 2023 Women's World Cup in Vietnam. This is the event that kicks off VMG Media's new strategy when participating in the field of international sports and entertainment copyright.
Following the success, VMG Media and Next Media officially own the exclusive rights to the German Football Championship - Bundesliga on all broadcasting platforms for 5 seasons from 2023-2028.
At the same time, we are also the first unit to bring the copyright of the 3-season German National Cup DFB-Pokal to Vietnam.
With the comprehensive cooperation between VMG Media, Next Media and Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal this time, we also bring with us even greater expectations. That is the cooperation programs between the two countries on youth football training.
Outstanding young Vietnamese players will have the opportunity to train and compete in Germany, contributing to improving the quality of Vietnamese football."
As the unit that initiated the cooperation with Bundesliga International since 2020, Next Media General Director Nguyen Trung Kien said: “Not only cooperating on broadcasting copyright, we have been very successful in cooperating to develop football, demonstrated in friendly matches between the Vietnam national team and Borussia Dortmund Club, the True Love charity match or the tour of the Vietnam U17 team with German youth teams.
This time, the level of cooperation between the parties will be pushed to a new level. We not only combine on the football aspect, but also connect businesses, bringing the two countries of Vietnam and Germany closer together."
In addition to the tours and friendly matches between the two countries' football teams that have been committed, excellent Vietnamese male and female players will have the opportunity to go to Germany to play for clubs through the cooperation program.
In addition, coaches from Germany will also come to Vietnam to select excellent young players in the “Bundesliga Dream Team” program to train and compete in Europe.
Not only in sports, the cooperation between the two countries also extends to other fields with Next Media, Bundesliga, and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK) co-organizing the German-Vietnamese Business Summit to bridge investment from Germany to Vietnam.

Since then, Bundesliga viewership has increased by almost 500% and the Youth Incubator Project 2022 has reached over 15 million people. All results show continued success and we are excited to look forward to the next steps in this partnership.”
