Tourists should not miss beautiful Pu Luong
After more than 4 years living in Ho Chi Minh City, Hugo Blin had the opportunity to travel to many places in Vietnam, from Hanoi , Ha Long, Ninh Binh, to Hoi An, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc...
Among them, Ninh Binh is the place that this French guy likes the most because it is completely different from Ho Chi Minh City, with fewer people and more natural landscapes.
However, one of the places that impressed him the most was Pu Luong (Thanh Hoa).

"A fellow countryman introduced me to this place and last December, I came here with my family," Hugo told Tuoi Tre Online .
“We stayed there for a day, walking around the rice fields in the morning. I was extremely impressed with the beauty of the place,” he said.
To him, Pu Luong deserves to be known by more people.
“Even when I told my Vietnamese friends, some of them didn’t know where Pu Luong was. If my foreign friends come to Vietnam, I will definitely introduce them to Pu Luong and hope they will like it too,” Hugo said.
In recent years, Pu Luong has gradually become known to many international tourists. On the travel website TripAdvisor, visiting Pu Luong Nature Reserve leads the Top 20 things to do when coming to Thanh Hoa.
“My family had a wonderful and memorable time at Pu Luong Nature Reserve. A good guide is essential to having an enjoyable experience that suits your needs. The best time to see the ripe rice on the terraces is in late September," an Australian traveler commented on TripAdvisor.

Meanwhile, for more than 6 years now, Indonesian Indra has also spent time visiting many places in Vietnam.
“In the fall and winter, I often travel with my friends to mountainous areas in Northern Vietnam such as Sa Pa, Mu Cang Chai, Ha Giang, Cao Bang. In the summer from March to May, I often go to the beach in the Central region (Nha Trang, Da Nang),” Indra shared.
Among the places he has been to, if he had to point out specifically which place he likes best, Indra would choose Cu Vai village in Yen Bai, the countryside in Son La, Ta Xua, Ban Gioc waterfall, the famous backpacking route in Ha Giang, and Bac Ha market in Lao Cai.
“Most of these places are located in the northern mountainous provinces, so we not only get to see beautiful scenery but also learn more about ethnic minorities, their communities and cultures, which are sometimes not well-known,” said Indra.
“Having the experience firsthand on the trip was truly eye-opening.”
Besides, places that Indra thinks many tourists do not know much about are Ha Giang, Mu Cang Chai, Cao Bang and especially Dak Lak.
“Ha Giang, Mu Cang Chai and Cao Bang are very beautiful, with lots of natural scenery and not as crowded as other places like Ninh Binh or Sa Pa,” said Indra.
“Dak Lak is where my wife and I live, famous for having the best coffee in Vietnam but I guess tourists often miss Dak Lak.
Nowadays, everyone in the world only knows about Vietnamese coffee, however, I don't think many foreigners know that Dak Lak is a major supplier of coffee beans for the whole country. In Dak Lak, there is also the World Coffee Museum, an interesting place that anyone who loves coffee should definitely visit."
In addition, the natural scenery in Dak Lak also often becomes a source of inspiration for Indra's photography hobby.

Will introduce tourists to Hue

As for Don Hough, an Australian teacher who has lived in Vietnam for more than 7 years, the place that deserves to be more famous with tourists is Hue.
Having been to many places such as Vung Tau, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hoi An, Dong Ha, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay... Don said he likes Hue the most, a place with beautiful scenery, rich history, and delicious food.
"I'm not saying that few people know Hue, but I feel like sometimes Hue is not as well known to tourists as Hoi An and Da Nang," Don said.
“Hue should be known more, because it is the ancient capital, has many pagodas, there are boats to go on the Perfume River, it is only 60km from Bach Ma National Park, there is also a lot of delicious food, including delicious vegetarian food…”, he listed a series of reasons why people should know about Hue.
“If foreign friends come to Vietnam, I will introduce them to Hue, tell them about the places, landscapes, historical relics such as Hue citadel, mausoleums, Thien Mu pagoda... I will also tell them to try Hue beef noodle soup, rice/vermicelli with mussels, banh loc, banh ep, banh nam...”, Don said again.
Don’s compatriot, Ann Tonkin from Melbourne, agrees. “The Imperial City of Hue is amazing,” she says.

Even though she doesn't live in Vietnam, for the past 7 years, she has tried to come to Vietnam once a year.
Places Ann has been to include Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hue, Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat...
“Personally, I prefer to come to Vietnam to meet the locals. Over the years, I have made friends with many Vietnamese and foreigners living here. I go back to their hometowns with them, meet their parents and grandparents, and live with them. Village life is very basic, but that is all people really need: family meals, a home and community,” she said.
