Do Huynh Thuy Dao (born in 2015), is currently a 5th grade student at Binh Hang Trung Primary School, Binh Hang Trung Commune, Dong Thap Province. Thuy Dao's father passed away in early 2025 due to a traffic accident. She currently lives with her grandmother, mother and 8-year-old brother.

Do Huynh Thuy Dao's family peels lotus seeds together to earn extra income.
Thuy Dao's family also has two older brothers. Tan Dat (born in 2000) is working as a porter in Ho Chi Minh City, earning just enough to cover living expenses. Van Duc (born in 2002) has a wife and small children, and is still facing many financial difficulties.
Since her husband passed away, Ms. Do Thi Truc Giang - Thuy Dao's mother (born in 1977) has been supporting the whole family. She earns a living by selling lottery tickets, taking care of her 71-year-old mother, and raising her children. In addition, she also takes on the job of peeling lotus seeds to earn extra income.
The house where the family lived was dilapidated and seriously degraded. However, Thuy Dao and her sister were very understanding. She often picked vegetables to boil, while her younger brother went fishing to improve the meals. The image of the 8-year-old boy, small in stature, already knowing how to help his mother and sister with housework made many people feel sorry.
When watching the clip introducing her own family, Thuy Dao, her mother and three children burst into tears. MC Huynh Lap, standing next to her, could not hide his emotions and continuously comforted the two children. The male MC said he felt even more heartbroken when he saw Thuy Dao crying. The loss and sadness that the fatherless girl had to go through made him worried and sympathetic.

At the studio, little Thuy Dao kept crying when talking about her family situation, her father died early, her mother struggled to raise her children and her daily worries.
Ms. Giang – Thuy Dao’s mother also cried. She said this was the first time she saw her daughter cry so much, and never knew that her daughter had been silently suffering from sadness all this time.
Singer Trang Phap choked up, continuously wiping away tears for Thuy Dao. The singer said she had been moved many times when watching the program Vietnamese Family Home on the small screen, but when meeting the characters in person, the emotions became even deeper. She felt the love and warmth between family members, making her appreciate what she had even more.
Singer Lam Hung also expressed his sympathy as he lost his father at an early age, leaving his mother to raise her children alone. He shared: “I am a tough person, but I am very emotional inside. Seeing Giang raising her children alone reminds me of my mother. I lost my father at a young age, and my mother also raised the family alone. I am very moved when I see my memories through the children's circumstances.”

“I am a tough person, but looking at the children’s circumstances, my childhood memories come flooding back. I hope Thuy Dao will maintain her determination and always try to study hard,” singer Lam Hung shared.
Regarding Thuy Dao's dream of becoming a teacher, singer Lam Hung said: "Whenever you want to give up, remember that more than 20 years ago there was a person who had no money in hand - that was me. And today I am different, from a train driver I have changed my life. You are a filial child, always trying, I believe that in the future you will also be successful".
The determination of an 11-year-old orphaned girl in Ca Mau : "I just hope my father and grandmother are healthy"
Truong Ho Kim Han (born in 2014), is currently a 6th grade student at Tran Thoi Primary and Secondary School, Cai Nuoc Commune, Ca Mau Province. Kim Han's mother passed away during the pandemic while working in Ho Chi Minh City. Not long after that, her grandfather also passed away. Currently, Han lives with her grandmother Ho Thi Muoi (born in 1957), father Truong Van Nhi (born in 1982) and two younger brothers Truong Gia Hung (born in 2016, 4th grade) and Truong Gia Huy (born in 2017, 3rd grade).
Since his wife passed away, Mr. Nhi has been doing many jobs to support his children, mainly cleaning shrimp ponds with an income of about 250,000 VND per day. However, the work is unstable, sometimes available, sometimes not. He has also suffered from type 2 diabetes for many years, and has to take daily injections, so his health is increasingly declining. Mrs. Muoi also has high blood pressure and heart disease, and has to take medication regularly. The house the family lives in was built on land owned by a relative, so it can only be temporarily repaired.

11-year-old Truong Ho Kim Han, orphaned by her mother and grandfather, lives with her father, grandmother and two younger siblings. She has always been a diligent and good student for many years.
Despite her difficult circumstances, Han has always been an excellent student for many years. She dreams of becoming a police officer to protect justice and contribute to society. After school, Han and her two younger siblings voluntarily do housework and help their grandmother with tasks within their capacity. She does not feel sorry for herself because of her lack of resources, but only feels sorry for her father and grandmother who have worked hard to raise her three children. For Han, the luckiest thing is to be able to go to school and live with her family.
Following the character's situation, singer Trang Phap could not contain her emotions, running to hug and comfort Kim Han when she cried. The female singer expressed her admiration for Kim Han, who was only 11 years old but had to manage the housework, take care of her younger siblings, cook for her grandmother and father, but still study hard.
Actor Huynh Lap also emotionally shared: “Kim Han has a maturity that is not typical of an 11-year-old girl. She looks very understanding and very responsible for her family. She is only 11 years old but has so many thoughts, always loves her father, loves her grandmother and always takes responsibility for herself. I really admire but also feel very heartbroken because of Kim Han's understanding.”

The moment Mr. Truong Van Nhi's family and baby Kim Han shed tears when talking about the losses during the pandemic.
Singer Lam Hung expressed his sadness when witnessing the family's situation. He said: "As a breadwinner, I understand that there are many worries for the family. Even though I have a good income, I still have to work hard. I remember during the pandemic, when I could not work in the arts, I had to sell each grapefruit to neighbors in the residential area where I lived. I always told myself to adapt to all circumstances, not to let my family suffer."
