Turn knowledge into light so that learners can illuminate their own path to adulthood and create their own future,” Minister Nguyen Kim Son said at the program “In lieu of gratitude in 2025” held on the evening of November 16. The program has been held for many years, every time it comes to Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with Vietnam Television.
According to Minister Nguyen Kim Son, the education and training sector has never had such a position, been given such a mission and received such attention as it does today. “Education and training is the top national policy that determines the future of the nation. Teachers are considered the driving force for educational development, the decisive factor in the quality of education,” the Minister affirmed, adding that many new policies have been issued by the Party and the State to develop the teaching staff. This is a great joy and encouragement for those working in education.
We teachers also need to be grateful to society for bringing nobility to our profession. We need to repay the trust, care and expectations. All teachers should strive to always be a shining example for students to follow, especially in personality, learning spirit, creativity, love and justice.

The Minister said that this year, for the first time, the teaching profession has been codified by the Law on Teachers. Instead of the spirit of respecting teachers as a culture and a social custom, from now on, the promotion of educators, the development of the teaching staff, the responsibilities and obligations of teachers, and the protection of teachers are codified in law. Ethics combined with the law create certainty, sustainability, and transparency for the profession of teachers. This is an honor and a condition for teachers to promote their social role.

We teachers also need to be grateful to society for bringing nobility to our profession. We need to repay the trust, care, and expectations.
