Tich Thien Duong is one of the rare remaining ancient houses in Da Nang city, located in Thai Lai village, Hoa Nhon commune, Hoa Vang district. For a long time, this place has become an attractive tourist destination for tourists, especially those who are passionate about the ancient beauty of the countryside.
The current owner of the house is Mr. Do Huu Minh (68 years old). Mr. Minh said that the house was built during his great-grandfather's time and has existed for more than 200 years.
According to Mr. Minh, the house has 36 large pillars, along with a system of rafters and beams made from old jackfruit roots, so it is not susceptible to termites. This helps the house stand firm over the years.
The homeowner said that the beautiful patterns on the pillars were carved by the hands of artisans from Kim Bong carpentry village (Hoi An city, Quang Nam ).
The roof is covered with ancient yin-yang tiles. Mr. Minh revealed that he intends to replace the yin-yang tile roof but will utilize the upper layer of tiles to preserve the ancient architecture.
Inside the house, a large horizontal lacquered board is hung neatly and solemnly in the middle room.
Many old items are also carefully preserved by the owner.
The ancient house is located in a garden of over 3,000 square meters with many resting areas.
Although it has undergone many renovations, the house still retains its ancient appearance from its architecture to the antique plate decoration on the tiled roof.
The fence of the old house is covered with tree roots, creating a unique scene that is rarely seen anywhere else.
Mr. Minh also painstakingly searched for and bought many objects to decorate around the old house for tourists to visit and admire. In the photo is the tractor he bought for decoration.
