Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant: Launching tree planting campaign in response to the 2025 Environmental Action Month

BTO-The professional departments and mass organizations of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant under the Vietnam Electricity Group Branch have just organized a tree planting ceremony in response to World Environment Day and the Environmental Action Month 2025, according to the policy of Vietnam Electricity Group. This exciting activity attracted a large number of officials, union members, youth union members and factory workers to participate.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Dinh Quan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Factory emphasized: “With the theme: Green living is a choice for health and the future. Through the response to planting trees around the large area of ​​the factory every year, we convey a strong message about the spirit of green living and responsibility for the environment of the factory's staff and workers. Protecting the environment is not only a responsibility but also a mission of each individual and each business. Even though we are a thermal power plant, we are always aware of the importance of minimizing the impact on the environment and constantly striving for sustainable development”.

“The image of rows of newly planted trees on the barren land of the area surrounding the factory is a vivid testament to this determination. The rows of smooth, sturdy green trees, cultivated by the hands and hearts of electricity workers, not only decorate the factory’s landscape to be greener, cleaner and more beautiful, but also symbolize the will to transform green and develop sustainably in the current period,” said Vu Dinh Quan, Deputy Director of the factory.

At the launch, young factory workers planted hundreds of poplar trees in the area surrounding the factory. To date, the factory has planted more than 25,000 trees, flowers and 950 square meters of ornamental grass, over 50 hectares of the campus have been covered with greenery, mainly drought-resistant plants.

The recent tree planting activity is part of a series of meaningful activities that Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant has implemented during the Environmental Action Month 2025. Previously, the plant has been actively implementing many solutions to optimize production processes, apply modern technology to minimize emissions, effectively manage solid waste and raise awareness of environmental protection for all officers and employees of the unit. This is not just an action of a day or a month, but a long-term commitment, part of the sustainable development strategy set forth by the 2nd Party Congress of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, term 2025-2030, contributing to realizing the common goal of a green and prosperous Vietnam.
