In Official Dispatch No. 564 /BGDĐT-GDTrH sent to the Department of Education and Training of localities regarding the organization of teaching and learning for schools damaged by storms and floods, the Ministry of Education and Training emphasized: the recent floods have caused severe damage to schools, and students in some localities have had to stay home from school for many days.

Right in the final stages, localities and schools have made efforts to promptly implement solutions to welcome students back to school. However, there are still some schools and school sites that are too badly damaged or isolated to continue teaching and learning.

To ensure the maintenance of learning for all students and the completion of the school year program as planned, the Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training direct schools to implement flexible teaching solutions, suitable to practical conditions to ensure the progress of program implementation according to the school year time frame but not causing pressure or overload for teachers and students.

Local Departments of Education and Training shall review and develop appropriate plans to bring students from schools and campuses that have not yet reopened to the main campus or other schools in the area to study. For students who have to travel too far from home, there shall be appropriate plans to support students to study at boarding schools or day schools while overcoming the impact of floods.

Along with that, mobilize teachers in local schools to support teachers and students of schools damaged by storms and floods to organize teaching and make up for missed classes for students.

For students who are unable to attend school due to difficult circumstances, schools need to have plans suitable to actual conditions to maintain learning for students such as assigning lessons, assigning teachers to directly support each student or group of students at their place of residence, ensuring safety and effectiveness.

In addition, it is necessary to organize adjustments to the school'seducation plan, develop a make-up study plan for students to ensure completion of the first semester and the entire school year's education program according to the general education plan of the locality and the whole country.
