Identifying the potential of the new Dong Nai to serve development

From July 1, the new Dong Nai province officially came into operation. After merging Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, the new Dong Nai province has an area of over 12.7 thousand km2, a population of over 4.4 million people, an economic scale of about 26 billion USD, ranking 4th in the country (after Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong). The new Dong Nai province has planned 83 industrial parks, 63 industrial clusters and Hoa Lu Border Gate Economic Zone... Dong Nai is also a traffic hub connecting many regions and localities, so it is very convenient for the development of industry, agriculture, trade services, tourism, logistics, real estate.

Currently, the province is urgently implementing a number of transport projects connecting the inner province and neighboring areas such as: Bien Hoa - Vung Tau, Ben Luc - Long Thanh, Dau Giay - Lien Khuong, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh, Ma Da bridge... Good transport connections will facilitate socio -economic development. This is also one of the top criteria for businesses to choose to invest in localities.

According to economic experts, if Dong Nai quickly deploys connecting traffic routes inside and outside the province, it will attract many businesses to invest in the fields of industry, agriculture , trade services, urban areas, logistics, etc. Dong Nai province will follow the general trend of the world to develop a green, circular economy, adapting to climate change.

Dong Nai has many large industrial crop production areas such as rubber, cashew, coffee, pepper; at the same time, it is also a locality with many types of fruit trees such as rambutan, grapefruit, durian, banana, dragon fruit... Therefore, the province can link industrial processing zones and clusters with production areas. Thus, enterprises investing in preliminary processing and processing of agricultural products for export will be very favorable, because they can proactively source raw materials and reduce transportation costs. Processed agricultural products along with building brands, ensuring export criteria will increase added value by 2-4 times.

In attracting investment into industrial parks, the province will continue to select high-tech, modern, environmentally friendly, less labor-intensive and high-value-added projects. In other fields, the province is calling on domestic and foreign enterprises and corporations with experience and potential to implement large projects to contribute to socio-economic development.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, Dong Nai authorities will always accompany businesses, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles so that businesses can operate effectively. The province is committed to simplifying and shortening the time to process documents and procedures so that businesses can quickly implement projects.

With a two-level local government, and clear decentralization and delegation of authority, Dong Nai will attract many investment resources to the province, ensuring double-digit growth.
