The passenger was Ms. Pham Thi Nguong, born in 1978, from Hoang Xa village, Phu Tuc commune (Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi ). Ms. Nguong said she bought a train ticket to Ho Chi Minh City to visit relatives and borrow money to treat her husband's illness.
However, when she arrived, because she could not contact her relatives and could not arrange money, Ms. Ngung found herself in a situation where she had no money to buy a ticket home.
When trying to board the train and being discovered by railway staff, instead of handling it according to regulations, Train Captain Tran Van Tri and staff on train SE4 proactively donated money to buy tickets for this special passenger.
In just a short time, people raised enough money to buy her a train ticket home, and also provided meals on the train during the long journey.
In her thank you letter to the railway staff, Ms. Nguong expressed her deep gratitude to those who helped her. “I have no relatives and no money to buy a ticket, but you bought me a ticket, bought me food, and took care of my car ride from Hanoi station to home. Once again, thank you very much!”

The story of the humane action of the SE4 crew is not only a shining example of the spirit of mutual love and support, “the rich help the poor”, but also a vivid proof that the moral values and fine traditions of the Vietnamese people are always present in every beat of life.
This is not only a noble gesture between people but also a clear demonstration of the motto "Train is home, passengers are relatives" that the Railway industry pursues.
