Focus on 8 groups of tasks and solutions to prevent and combat waste

The City People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 518/QD-UBND on the program and plan to implement the National Strategy on Waste Prevention and Control until 2035 in Da Nang city.

The program sets out 8 groups of tasks and solutions. Specifically: perfecting policies and laws in the fields of socio -economic management and waste prevention and control; focusing on building and streamlining the apparatus and building a team of effective and efficient cadres and civil servants; effectively managing and using resources, human resources, material resources, and financial resources, enhancing sustainability, and improving energy efficiency.

Promote administrative reform, focus on minimizing administrative procedures and compliance costs for people and businesses; focus on resolving long-standing problems with key projects, low-efficiency projects, backlogs, and projects that have been prolonged and cause great loss and waste.

Strengthening inspection, supervision, auditing, investigation and handling of waste cases; raising awareness, promoting the role and responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, organizations and people in preventing and combating waste.

Based on the program to implement the National Strategy on Waste Prevention and Control until 2035, the City People's Committee issued an implementation plan with 30 specific solutions.
