In the atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1945-2025), publishing units launched many publications on historical and revolutionary topics, President Ho Chi Minh ... to meet the reading needs of the "patriotic bloc."

Many elaborate monographs

The Truth National Political Publishing House launched the book "August Revolution 1945 in Vietnam: When the entire nation decided to use our own strength to liberate ourselves" compiled by Professor-Doctor Pham Hong Tung.

The book is a monograph of elaborate research, built on the basis of an interdisciplinary approach based on modern historical methodology, combined with the exploitation and processing of many rich and diverse historical sources painstakingly collected in Vietnam and abroad.

The book focuses on systematically, comprehensively and deeply analyzing the basic historical contents of the August Revolution.

According to information from the Truth National Political Publishing House, Professor-Doctor Pham Hong Tung's book is a new contribution to the global academic dialogue of researchers on the history, country, culture and people of Vietnam as a worthy member of the progressive human community.

On this occasion, the Truth National Political Publishing House also republished the book “Quang Tri Memories” by author Nguyen Thuy Kha, which authentically recreates the 81 days and nights in the Citadel in 1972, a time considered the “fiery summer” in the history of the nation’s war against the US.

The brutality of war is clearly shown through each page of the book. Everyday details such as meals consisting of only a piece of bread passed from hand to hand, or water shared in a bunker help readers appreciate the value of peace.

Many portraits and valuable documents in this book were collected by Dong A from the French Overseas Archives Center in Aix en Provence (ANOM), which stores a massive collection of documents with about 8,000 pages about President Ho Chi Minh, and many museums in the country.

Through visual language, the life and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh will be vividly portrayed, making it easy for a wide range of readers to understand.
