According to VNA correspondents in Beijing, on August 31 and September 1, Chinese media agencies such as Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television (CCTV), People's Daily, Global Times, etc., simultaneously reported on the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh within the framework of the program to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) 2025 Summit and work in China.
Speaking at the meeting, President Xi Jinping said that during his state visit to Vietnam last April, the two sides reached an important common understanding on promoting the building of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future in the new situation; emphasizing that ministries, sectors and localities of the two countries need to step up implementation, promoting the comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and Vietnam to achieve more substantial results.
Faced with rapid changes and a turbulent international context, China and Vietnam need to firmly maintain faith in their own paths and systems, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, and push the "ship" of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future to steadily move forward and in the right direction.
On this occasion, President Xi Jinping congratulated Vietnam on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; emphasized that China supports Vietnam in successfully organizing the 14th National Party Congress; wishes to increase the exchange of state management experience with Vietnam, maintain high-level exchanges, coordinate and promote strategic cooperation between the two countries.
President Xi Jinping said that the two sides should actively promote cooperation in areas such as connectivity, digital economy, artificial intelligence, and enhance experience exchanges in building free trade zones and special economic zones, contributing to promoting modernization in each country; at the same time, continue to successfully organize activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Vietnam diplomatic relations and the “Red Journey” to study and research in China for Vietnamese youth, as well as build more mass projects…/.
