According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Beijing, on August 31st and September 1st, Chinese media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television (CCTV), People's Daily, Global Times, etc., simultaneously reported on the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh within the framework of attending the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and working trip to China.
Speaking at the meeting, President Xi Jinping said that during his state visit to Vietnam last April, the two sides reached important common understandings on promoting the building of a China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future in the new situation; emphasizing that ministries, departments, and localities of the two countries need to accelerate implementation and promote the comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and Vietnam to achieve more substantive results.
In the face of rapid change and a complex and volatile international landscape, China and Vietnam need to steadfastly uphold their beliefs in their respective paths and systems, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, and propel the "ship" of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future steadily forward and in the right direction.
On this occasion, President Xi Jinping congratulated Vietnam on its 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; emphasized China's support for Vietnam's successful organization of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and expressed his desire to strengthen exchanges of experience in state management with Vietnam, maintain high-level exchanges, coordinate and promote strategic cooperation between the two countries.
President Xi Jinping stated that both sides need to actively promote cooperation in areas such as connectivity, digital economy, artificial intelligence, and enhance the exchange of experiences in building free trade zones and special economic zones, contributing to the modernization of each country. He also emphasized the importance of continuing to successfully organize activities commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, and the "Red Journey" for Vietnamese youth to study in China, as well as developing more projects with greater public reach…/.
