Participating and contributing to the success of the celebration, parade and marching on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day on September 2nd is a source of pride and glorious duty; a source of great inspiration and encouragement for the young generation of the whole country, spreading patriotism, national pride and awareness of building and defending the Fatherland.
Pride, a sacred experience
The Vietnam Revolutionary Press Bloc in the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 had 170 reporters, editors, and excellent students from 10 major press agencies and journalism training institutions across the country.
As one of 17 members representing the youth of VNA to participate in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, Ms. Cao Chu Dieu Linh, Deputy Secretary of the VNA Youth Union, shared that being part of the parade, accompanying outstanding colleagues in the revolutionary journalism industry, is for her a great pride and also a sacred responsibility of the youth of VNA - continuing the glorious tradition of previous generations of journalists.
For nearly a month, the young journalists have been undergoing intense training, in extremely erratic weather conditions - sometimes scorching sun, sometimes pouring rain. There were days when training lasted for hours, our shirts soaked in sweat, our legs were exhausted. But in every step, we always encouraged each other to maintain our formation, discipline and solidarity. Difficulties and hardships are also challenges to train the will and perseverance of youth.
The special thing is that while practicing, the agency is also in a very busy period with many big jobs and events.
Ms. Dieu Linh herself, like many other comrades, had to arrange her time very tightly: taking advantage of breaks to handle urgent work over the phone, and returning to the office after the practice session to work until late at night. There was hardship and pressure, but our hearts were always full of enthusiasm because this was a sacred mission, a pride that was hard to repeat in a journalist's life.
Ms. Dieu Linh shared that young journalists were fortunate to receive the wholehearted attention and support from the Vietnam Journalists Association , the Press Department, the careful training of the Capital Command, as well as the attention and facilitation of the VNA leadership as well as the units in the agency. That encouragement is a great source of strength, helping them to wholeheartedly practice and complete their tasks well.
“Striding across the historic Ba Dinh Square on National Day is a source of pride, a sacred experience, a deep impression in my youth. I believe that the image of VNA youth union members in the parade will be a clear demonstration of the vanguard spirit, discipline, responsibility and aspiration to contribute of the youth of the national news agency - always ready to contribute to the common cause of the country,” said the Deputy Secretary of the VNA Youth Union.
On this occasion, the Youth Union of VNA also coordinated to organize many meaningful activities such as: giving away the Weekly News newspaper with printed pages for readers to build their own model of "Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square" and giving out free water to people, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.
Every hour of practice is an hour of determination.
Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, practicing enthusiastically, standing in the sun and rain without stopping, the standing groups of the parade have practiced for more than 4 months in all weather conditions to achieve the goal of contributing to the success of the country's important celebration, shared Private Vu Quoc Thai, a young soldier participating in the Mobile Police standing formation.
The training process from school to participating in the blocks, many hardships but with pride is the motivation to overcome, to complete the mission. Each time training, the soldiers in the block have to practice standing at attention in place for more than 4 hours.
“The first 3 hours are spent on physical strength, but the last hour requires great effort and determination, especially in harsh weather conditions. Every hour of training is an hour of determination, every day on the training ground is a day of progress. In particular, we must always maintain the spirit of solidarity, love, and mutual support to successfully complete our tasks,” shared young soldier Vu Quoc Thai.
Young people not only take the initiative and devote themselves to serving the commemorative activities, but also participate in contributing and supporting the success of the country's important commemoration.
Mr. Pham Quang Cuong, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Government, said that recently, working delegations of the Government Youth Union visited and encouraged officers and soldiers participating in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, at the Mieu Mon National Training Center.
The Government Youth Union also came to encourage, visit and give meaningful gifts to the People's Public Security soldiers participating in the parade.
The small gifts that the delegation brought, though simple, contained sentiments and sincere thanks; encouragement and motivation for the comrades to be determined to complete their tasks, contributing to the success of the country's great holiday./.
