Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Dr. Ha Anh Duc - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - said: " Sinus and head and neck diseases are increasingly complicated and demanding. Therefore, updating new advances and techniques in the treatment of sinus and head and neck diseases is very urgent, not only helping to treat effectively, reduce complications but also meeting the current high aesthetic requirements of patients.

The opening session was a discussion introducing the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis, handling of complex complications such as cerebrospinal fluid leakage and frontal sinus disease treatment techniques by Dr. Nora Haloob. Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a difficult disease to treat due to persistent symptoms and high risk of recurrence, causing serious impacts on the patient's life.
Dr. Nora Haloob, an ENT specialist at Guy's Hospital, London, tackled the difficult problem with her report "Update on the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps", a new treatment method that provides long-term symptom control and improves the patient's quality of life.

Another challenge for otolaryngologists is the treatment of cerebrospinal fluid leaks, a complex condition that causes fluid to leak from the skull cavity into the nose, increasing the risk of serious infection. Dr. Haloob presented a new approach to treating cerebrospinal fluid leaks, which can help prevent complications and reduce the risk of recurrence, during the session “Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak Treatment.”
Speaking at the Conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Minh Ky - Vice President of the Hanoi Otorhinolaryngology Association - said: " Currently, the treatment of sinus and head and neck diseases is increasingly complicated, requiring high requirements in both expertise and technique.
Therefore, updating new medical and technological advances is extremely necessary, not only helping doctors improve their diagnostic and treatment capacity but also contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, better meeting the health care needs of the people."

On the sidelines of the conference, Master, Doctor Quang shared: “ This method is especially useful for young patients and those with high aesthetic needs. Thyroid cancer surgery without scarring is not only a step forward in medical aesthetics but also an optimal therapy, helping patients recover quickly, minimizing the psychological impact of treatment .”
Leading ENT experts from Vietnam and internationally attended the discussion session.
In addition to sinus and cancer diseases, the conference also introduced reports on plastic and cosmetic surgery such as: domino flap rhinoplasty; complex nasal septum surgery... These updates help doctors gain more practical experience in plastic and cosmetic methods, meeting the increasing needs of patients.
