On February 11, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee announced the plan to launch the 11th Ao Dai Festival, scheduled to take place on the evening of March 7 at the Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Walking Street. The event will be broadcast live on HTV Television.
This is one of the activities taking place to celebrate the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising; the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Within the framework of the festival, there will be many activities such as: folk dance performance with Ao Dai (March 8); Art program "Ao Dai with life"; "Charming Ao Dai of Ho Chi Minh City" contest; Ao Dai painting contest; Online Ao Dai photo contest, with the theme "Ao Dai with historical relics April 30";...
Through the activities of the Ao Dai Festival 2025, Ho Chi Minh City hopes to promote the image of a destination that is "Open - Youthful - Vibrant - Exciting - Towards the future".
The Ao Dai Festival is a cultural and tourism activity organized by the Department of Tourism in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union every March, with the aim of honoring, preserving, developing and promoting traditional Ao Dai costumes and celebrating International Women's Day on March 8.
